Projeto DIGITILE Objective:To create an online digital library devoted to studies about Tiles and Ceramics. The creation of such a tool arises from the need to analyze, publish and disseminate the unpublished studies undertaken by João Miguel dos Santos Simões (1907-1972) as a complement to the corpus collected in "Tiles in Portugal" published by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in the1960s. The researcher carried out a vast work of tiles inventory in Portugal (including Madeira and Azores) and in Brazil. Collaborative feature: Participation of librarians and art historians Dynamic structure: it envisions the addition of new contents ( new collections and new studies) Main activities: Research in History of Art, bibliographic control of patrimonial collections to foster access and dissemination of digitized resources 24

Projeto ROSSIO Objective: The core mission of ROSSIO will be to aggregate, organize, interrelate, contextualize, enrich and disseminate a unique stock of digital contents provided by research activities, archives, libraries, art collections and data banks. These contents belong to a set of key institutions, joined together in a consortium to fulfill the goals of a common action plan. Contents will be subject to an agreed metadata framework built upon international standards, and enriched by contextual information, timelines and digital maps.
