Recent graduates of Wisconsin colleges or universities who have not had time to secure a Wisconsin Teaching Certificate must submit a Professional Education Certificate issued by your training institution as a temporary license. * Transcripts. Copies of transcripts are acceptable for all undergraduate and graduate studies during the application process, but official transcripts mailed from your college or university are required before you may be hired for a district position. Screening/Interviews Completed application files will be screened based on the initial evaluation of materials, and from that, a pool of the most qualified applicants will be established as eligible for interview. Those candidates who appear to be among the most qualified for the position will receive an invitation to interview. Applicants scheduled to interview may be asked to provide evidence supporting their work such as a professional portfolio, CD/DVD and/or video tape. All materials will be returned at the conclusion of the interview. A background investigation will be performed on the top candidate(s) and will include but not be limited to, telephone reference checks and employment experience verification(s). Offers of employment are conditional based upon the satisfactory completion of a criminal background check with the Department of Justice. Contract/Salary Schedule The salary for new teachers will be based upon education, experience and the union contract salary schedule. The top candidate who has been offered employment with the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District will meet with the Superintendent and/or Director of Human Resources/Public Relations to sign a contract. A signed contract is not binding until the hire has been approved by the Board of Education.
