Master in International Relations The world needs impact, Become the impulse. Career Report 2017 After the graduation of our 9 th intake of the Master in International Relations program, IE School of International Relations is pleased to communicate the results of its global recruiting outreach of the MIR class of 2017. After a one-year program in which the MIR students have been trained to face global challenges with a new, more sustainable vision of economic development, public policy, and project management, most of them now occupy leadership positions in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Thanks to the unique program characteristics, coupled with the excellence of our students and the IE Talent & Careers efforts, 86% of the MIR alumni have secured a job position or were continuing their education three months after graduation. A high percentage of our students have showed significant levels of international mobility, with 50% of them working in countries different than their country of origin. Region-wise, 56% of the MIR graduates have secured a job position abroad, Europe being the most popular destination. However, North America and the Middle East have also been target destinations for our Alumni from the class of 2017. These graduates have already joined the ranks of IE s global network of more than 65,000 Alumni based in more than 100 countries and occupying high-level positions in the public, private and non-for-profit sector in all types of industries and organizations. Congratulations to the MIR class of 2017! IE TALENT & CAREERS The services provided by IE Talent & Careers have helped maximize the opportunities for our students to secure jobs in their preferred areas. From the start of the program, each student is assigned to a point-of-contact in IE Talent & Careers who meets with him or her to discuss career aspirations. Through the design of specific Career Development Workshops as part as the MIR curriculum, we ensure our students develop the right skills and insights to be successful in selection processes and in their future job positions. All students are also encouraged to participate in career events that IE Talent & Careers organizes on a monthly-basis. Finally, the IE Talent & Careers staff collaborates closely with recruiters to learn about the skills and competencies they are seeking to develop in their teams, providing them with the most suitable candidates based on the specific company s criteria.
