Whitman-Hanson Regional High School provides all students with a high- quality education in order to develop reflective, concerned citizens and contributing members of the global community. Course Number 434 Title Algebra III Grade 11-12 # of s 60 Course Description Algebra III will provide a review and extension of the topics found in Algebra II. Using algebra investigations and projects, students will gain understanding in topics necessary to show proficiency in high school mathematics. Some of these include: periodic functions, recursion, analytic geometry, and beginning trigonometry. This course addresses Whitman-Hanson Student Learning Expectations 1-6. Instructional Strategies Instructional Strategies include but may not be limited to the following: 1. Whole class instruction 2. Individual work: homework, classwork, assessments 3.
