St. Stephen s Church of England Primary School Winchester Road Twickenham Middlesex TW1 1LF (t) 020 8892 3462 (e) info@st-stephens.richmond.sch.uk Newsletter No: 24 23 rd March 2018 HOUSE POINTS: 1 st RED 2 nd GREEN 3 rd YELLOW 4 th BLUE BAGS OF GREENERY FOR ST. STEPHEN S This time last year, parents were asked to vote for our school as part of the Tesco s Bags of Help programme. The scheme uses the money raised from the 5p carrier bag charge in England to donate to good causes and thanks to people power, we were successful in securing the 5000 funding. The idea was to create areas for each class to do their own seeding, planting and pruning. Not only are these valuable skills for each child to learn but the resulting blooms should help to create eye-catching, natural areas around the playground. Huge thanks to Mr Plant who has lived up to his name by assembling and constructing 14 separate wooden planters from scratch. Blooming marvellous!
