It covers the BLS algorithm, as well as semi-automatic defibrillator operation. The course uses a unique approach to teaching algorithms that is designed to allow focus on specific components while maintaining the big picture. BLS, Adult Basic Life Support virtual simulator This interactive on-screen simulator enables learners to practice and improve their BLS skills on-line. Including dozens of real-life decisions, this simulator allows learners to experience the responsibility and challenge of an actual BLS event without leaving their computer. Optional real-time feedback allows learners to improve at their own pace. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cardiac Arrest self-paced course This course covers the relevant ACLS algorithms, as well as the 4 causes for cardiac arrest: Asystola, VF, PEA and Pulsless VT. Additional materials include ACLS medications and the usage of a defibrillator. The course is designed to tie the theoretical algorithm with the practical aspects of resuscitation. Cardiac Arrest virtual simulator This interactive on-screen simulator enables learners to practice and improve their ACLS skills on-line. Including dozens of real-life decisions, this simulator allows learners to experience the responsibility and challenge of an actual Cardiac Arrest event without leaving their computer. The simulator provides learners a chance to recognize and treat witnessed arrest patients. Emergency room equipment such as overhead monitor, monitor-defibrillator and ECG is available for virtual use. Optional real-time feedback allows learners to improve at their own pace.

Basic & Advanced Life Support (cont) ACS, Acute Coronary Syndrome Management self-paced course This course covers the full spectrum of ACS management. ACS, Acute Coronary Syndrome Management virtual simulator This interactive on-screen simulator enables learners to practice and improve their ACS skills on-line. Including dozens of real-life decisions, this simulator allows learners to experience the responsibility and challenge of acute coronary syndrome management without leaving their computer. The simulator includes several scenarios for practice: Lateral ischemia, Anterior AMI, Inferior AMI and Anterior AMI proceeding to VF. Optional real-time feedback allows learners to improve at their own pace. Tachyarrhythmia & Bradyarrhythmia Management self-paced course This course covers ACLS protocols for the treatment of slow and fast rhythm disturbances. The discussion of each arrhythmia includes ECG tracing, clinical presentation, etiology and pathophysiology. Tachyarrhythmia & Bradyarrhythmia Management virtual simulator This interactive on-screen simulator enables learners to practice and improve their ACS skills on-line. Including dozens of real-life decisions, this simulator allows learners to experience the responsibility and challenge of arrythmia management without leaving their computer. The simulator includes several scenarios for practice: VT, SVT, A. Fib, First, Second & Third Degree A-V Blocks.

Pediatric Life Support PBLS, Pediatric Basic Life Support self-paced course This course was developed in accordance with the AHA, ACLS 2010 guidelines, and covers the full PBLS algorithm. Different child ages receive separate clarifications and foreign body scenarios are detailed. PBLS, Pediatric Basic Life Support virtual simulator This interactive on-screen simulator enables learners to practice and improve their PBLS skills on-line. Including dozens of real-life decisions, this simulator allows learners to experience the responsibility and challenge of an actual PBLS event (e.g. choking and drowning) without leaving their computer. Advanced Life Support for the Newborn self-paced course This course covers the unique aspects of new-born resuscitation. Basic know-how, needed for the delivery room, as well as advanced maneuvers of the nursery, are included. Electro Cardio Gram ECG Practice adaptive practice module This practice module combines ECG traces with matching clinical details and laboratory results. These enable physicians to practice their ECG interpretation skills. Stroke Acute Stroke self-paced course This course covers the ACLS algorithm for acute stroke diagnosis and treatment. The animated presentation of the algorithm is designed to enable the learners to experience the signs and symptoms of acute stroke. The rapid decision making process regarding thrombolytic treatment is exemplified via interactive case-presentations; further clarifying the challenges of these critical situations Hospital Orientation for Physicians Physician Orientation adaptable self-paced course This adaptable course is designed to facilitate the assimilation of physicians into a new healthcare organization. Its modular structure is designed to include different types of relevant information salary issues, risk management consideration, safety regulation and much more. Physician orientation varies significantly across institutions. Thus, this course is highly adaptable, so as to fit the individual requirements and preferences of any given institution.

Hospital Refreshing Education ICU Related Content Content Risk Management: Principles and Scenarios self-paced course This adaptable course covers both the theoretical basis and the practical application of risk management principles in a healthcare organization. It describes both arms of risk management prevention and reporting using the Swiss Cheese Model and the Tip of the Iceberg Model. It includes a series of daily-life scenarios, highlighting relevant incidences and behaviors and discussing them in the risk-management context. Risk management varies significantly across institutions. Thus, the scenarios included in this course are adaptable, and allow any given institution to highlight the most relevant aspects of the subject. Principles and Practice of Pharmaceutical Calculations self-paced course The course gradually moves from basic calculus to the application of calculations in real clinical setting. The course covers the different types of calculations needed, coupled with the relevant scenarios from the simplest situations to continuous IV drip. This thorough course manages to create a friendly, non-threatening atmosphere that mitigates the fear from pharmaceutical calculations. Pharmaceutical Calculations practice module This self-adaptive module includes a wide variety of questions in different levels. It includes detailed explanations that are consistent with those included in the self-paced course. The gradual increase in difficulty across questions helps learners advance their confidence and ability. Fire Prevention and Firefighting in Healthcare Facilities adaptable self-paced course This adaptable course covers the general principles of firefighting, as well as the specific aspects relevant to hospitals. The course uses a series of interactive elements to increase compliance and recollection of important facts, including the locations of fireextinguishers, emergency numbers and more. Fire prevention equipment and regulations vary significantly across institutions. Accordingly, the institution-specific parts of this course are adaptable, and should include institution-relevant photos, phone numbers and procedures.

Nosocomial Infection Prevention self-paced course As nosocomial infections are on the rise, this course covers the basic principles of infection prevention relevant to any hospital employee. Basic Science comes to life Nursing & Medicine Basic Science What is an Insight Generator? An Insight Generator is a learning tool designed to create a practical link between aspects of basic science and clinical practice. To achieve this challenging goal, the Insight Generators combine a didactic stepwise approach with a highly interactive learning experience. Insight Generators are usually reserved to topics of vital importance and/or characterized by seemingly complex connections between theory and practice. Acid-Base Metabolism insight generator This Insight-Generator (IG) thoroughly presents the acid-base matrix and connects it to the underlying physiology. Based on this connection the IG interactively presents and analyses relevant clinical cases to further advance the learner s command of the topic. Pediatric Acid-Base Metabolism Insight Generator The acid-base matrix is detailed explained and practiced, followed by a discussion of underlying physiology, and linked to relevant pediatric cases. Thorough understanding of the matrix is indeed achieved. From Ischemia to Arrhythmia Insight Generator The module provides graphic description of the chain of events leading from cardiac ischemia to lethal tachyarrhythmia. The pathophysiology of electrical cardiac re-entry is explained and defibrillation is instructed. Operation of Ultrasound in the ObGyn Setting self-paced course This course addresses the principles of ultrasound and their implications on ObGyn ultrasound operation in the clinical setting.
