Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) THE PROGRAMME: Emphasis on application development by incorporating soft development skills. Undergraduate degree program in computer application is a six semester intensive program in computer application stream. The primary emphasis in BCA is on designing information systems for various organizations such as banks, insurance companies, hotels, hospitals etc. Development of application software in diverse areas where computers are used will be the main function of BCA graduates. The major thrust is on giving the students a sound background in computing, business function, mathematics related to information technology. NUMBER OF SEATS: 60 seats ELIGIBILITY: 10+2 Level students of any board (CBSE,ICSE and U.P. BOARD etc.) with a minimum of 50% marks for Gen/OBC and 45% marks for SC/ST and Mathematics/Computer Science/Computer application as one of the subject at Intermediate / Higher Secondary (i.e. 10+2 level) can apply. ADMISSION CRITERIA: The admission shall be done on the basis of combined entrance test (100 marks). There shall be no negative marking. Entrance Test Question paper will consist of multiple choice question. Details are as: Part A: 40 Multiple Choice Questions, based on Logical reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, English Comprehension, General Knowledge. Part B: 60 Multiple Choice Questions, based on Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science Syllabus of CBSE Venue: for Entrance Examination test: Department of Computer Science, University of Lucknow, Lucknow Time: for Entrance Examination test: One and Half hours (90 Minutes). Application fees for BCA admission, Rs. 800/- for Gen/OBC Candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST Candidates. Application fees must be submitted through demand draft in favour of Finance Officer, University of Lucknow, Lucknow. Application form must be send to Admission chairman LUCSAT-2015 by Speed Post only along-with demand draft, Self Attested Xerox copies of certificates/mark Sheets and Two Self addressed Envelops size (27x12cm) duly stamped with Rs.39/-. The Application form must be filled in Capital letters by the candidate in his/her own handwriting. 3. Incomplete Application form will be subjected to rejection. The candidate would have then no claim. 4. The Candidate has to submit self attested Xerox copy of relevant Certificates/Mark sheets along with application. 5. If candidate fail to get admit card for BCA entrance examination on or before 3 rd July-2015, then candidate can approach to Department of Computer Science University of Lucknow, to get duplicate Admit Card on 4 th July-2015 between 2.00 to 4.00pm.Candidate has to bring two photographs and the Xerox copy of the application form. 6. The existing reservation rules of the University shall apply in admitting the students to B.C.A. course. 7. All legal matters shall be subject to Lucknow Jurisdiction only. 8. The Semester fees must have to be submitted by the candidate at the time of counseling itself otherwise chance will be given to next candidate in order of merit. 9. The candidate claiming reservation must submit the e-caste Certificate and e-income Certificate of father, otherwise candidate will not get reservation benefits 10.
