Applying to Cox Green Sixth Form Thank you very much for your interest in joining our Sixth Form at Cox Green School. Further information about life in our Sixth Form can be found on our website: www.coxgreen.com Key Dates: Thursday 16 November 2017 Friday 26 January 2018 From 29 January 2018 Friday 22 June 2018 Thursday 23 August 2018 Thursday 23 and Friday 24 August 2018 Open Evening for Prospective Students & Parents. Presentation by the Headteacher and Sixth Form Team at 7:15pm in the main school theatre. Deadline for Applications. Interview and conditional offers for all prospective students (internal and external). Sixth Form Induction Programme for all students. GCSE Results day. Individual Sixth Form meetings to confirm GCSE results and Sixth Form course choices. Students will need to be available on this day to confirm their place at CGS 6th Form. All students in Year 11 at Cox Green School who meet the entrance criteria and demonstrate commitment to their academic work are entitled to a place in the Sixth Form. We also welcome external applications from students who have completed their examinations elsewhere. Our final course offer is, as usual, subject to final student numbers and viability and may be taught in collaboration with Consortium Schools. Our policy is to ensure that students accepted into the Sixth Form can be placed onto appropriate courses that will ensure that they achieve their very best. For this reason the entry criteria on the following page apply to the courses offered.
