SCHOLARSHIP NOTICE The Northern California Council of Professional Engineers (NCCBPE) 2018 Spirit of Unity Scholarship for $1,000 is available. The scholarship is offered to help with the costs of tuition and books of an African American student who is currently enrolled in a college or university. The $1,000 Spirit of Unity Scholarship may be applied for by an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in the field of engineering, science or technology. Applicant must: 1) Be a resident of Northern California (San Francisco Bay and Sacramento Areas). 2) Have an overall and major GPA of 2.5 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher 3) Show proof grades (e.g. transcript). 4) Provide two (2) letters of recommendation. 5) Have completed one year in college. 6) Provide a 300-word essay. 7) Commit to performing 20 hours of volunteer service in 2018 and 2019 in support of NCCBPE s projects and programs. The deadline for the scholarship application must be postmarked by May 4, 2018.
