London is renowned as one of the most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities in the world and offers international students a truly unforgettable experience. It was ranked second in the list of best student cities worldwide (QS 2012).
London is the largest city in the UK and Europe. Sitting on the banks of the River Thames, it has a rich and long history. This has resulted in a variety of architecture in the capital, from the modern skyscrapers in Canary Wharf (pictured), to historical buildings like Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.
London has 33 boroughs, each formed of distinct areas with their own character, so London feels like many colourful, unique towns all joined together. The Regent Canal (pictured) passes through central London and many of the boroughs, including Camden - an area famous for its art, music and markets.
London has a huge range of cultural attractions. Some of the most visited museums and galleries in the world are in London; these include the British Museum, the National Gallery (pictured), the Tate Modern and the Natural History Museum.
London is a fantastic sporting city with hundreds of sports clubs and facilities. The city has six Premiership football clubs (including Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur) and five top-division rugby union sides. Wembley Stadium is where England play their international football games, and Twickenham is the home of the English rugby union team. The city also hosts a Grand Slam tennis tournement at Wimbledon and has two country cricket grounds, as well as basketball, hockey and American football teams.
London is one of the best cities in the world for shopping. The main shopping street is Oxford Street (pictured), but London has several major indoor shopping centres as well as many markets and boutique shopping areas. There is also a huge variety of resturants and cafes, with food from all over the world. London truly offers something for everyone!
Despite its large size, London is very easy to get around, having the longest-established and one of the largest underground transport networks in the world. Buses service the whole of the city with many 24-hour routes and taxis are available until late. The train network provides easy connections for students to the rest of the country and London boasts three major airports of its own. With so many options, travelling around, to and from your new home is easy!
KIC London s programmes are approved are tailored to meet the needs of international students and to ease their transition to university.
Located in Islington, KICL is a five-minute walk from Angel tube station and within easy reach of university facilities and many of London s attractions. The College has its own Student Services Office which provides support and assists international students with their move to the UK and adapting to life in London.
It s easy to make friends with students from all around the world at KICL. During the 2011/2012 academic year, the College saw students from 41 different countries complete their programme.
KICL staff provide dedicated support to help students achieve their academic goals. Each student is assigned a friendly personal tutor to give individual advice and help with any academic or non-academic topics.
KICL has a variety of facilities available to its students, including a well-equipped computer lab.

City University London is ranked in the top 5% of world universities (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2012/13). It offers excellent career prospects, being ranked 9th in the UK for graduate-level jobs (Sunday Times University Guide 2013).

Its libraries provide students with access to more than 380,000 books, 25,000 e-journals and 20,000 e-books. The University s other facilities include IT labs, sports halls, fitness suites, a sports ground and halls of residence.
