Language requirements EXCHANGE students (master, PhD/dctral level): While all prgrams are German taught, sme f them ffers a limited number f English taught classes. Please check academic ffer t see which prgrams are exclusively German taught and which ffer a limited number f English taught classes. If yu d nt have sufficient knwledge f German t fllw German taught classes yu must verify in detail whether yu can find enugh English taught classes t fulfill the prgram requirements (minimum requirement per semester fr master students = 30 ECTS). Applicatin prcedure Students staying fr 1 semester need t apply fr a student visa via the Austrian embassy PstDcs and Staff grantees need t apply fr a visa at the Austrian embassy Students staying fr 2 semesters r mre need t apply fr a residence permit and g thrugh a three step prcess: Residence permit applicatin t be handed in at the Austrian embassy wh will frward the dcuments t the respnsible ffice in Austria fr check and cnfirmatin Once this ffice cnfirms the residence permit students are infrmed f the utcme by the embassy and then apply fr an entrance visa. As sn as the students receive their visa they are required t send a scan f the visa s that travel arrangements can be finalized by the crdinatr. Once in Graz students will pick up their residence permits frm the respnsible ffice (supprt prvided during welcme events). Exchange students must cmplete the nline applicatin via the University f Graz nline tl. A print ff f the Applicatin Frm signed by the student and the Study Cnfirmatin signed by the advisr at the hme university alng with all relevant academic dcumentatin must then be sent via surface mail t the cntact persn in Graz. All students selected fr University f Graz will be cntacted by the Graz cntact persn upn the fficial cnfirmatin f their selectin by the crdinating university and advised in detail.
