GCF EVENTS 2018 Green Climate Fund Structured Dialogue with Latin America 5-8, Colombia Target audience: GCF partners in Latin America: National Designated Authorities (NDAs) and Focal Points Latin American Board members Ministries of budget, planning, finance and environment Accredited Entities and Readiness Delivery Partners Other relevant stakeholders, civil society, private sector and development partners. Objectives The First Structured Dialogue with Latin America aims to develop a roadmap for articulating regional priorities and opportunities in the engagement with the GCF. It will take place in the context of the GCF Strategic Plan and recent GCF Board decisions that provide support for the development of concrete proposals and projects that can be submitted to the Board for consideration. The Dialogue will achieve this by providing stakeholders with an opportunity to: (1) increase their understanding of GCF modalities and procedures and latest developments such as support for project preparation and national adaptation planning processes; (2) share their experiences in engaging with the Fund across key areas, including readiness activities implementation; (3) identify key priorities (short and longer term) for project pipeline development at national and regional levels; (4) advance draft Country and Entity Programmes and Readiness plans for all Latin American countries and Accredited Entities with operations in this region; and (5) identify priority projects to take forward for project preparation support, development and submission. NB: Please note that the event will be conducted in Spanish, with English interpretation available on 5 March (day 1) only.
