Admissio Optios Freshma Applicats Studets who have completed or expect to complete a high school diploma, GED/TASC or obtai the equivalet of a US high school diploma may apply as freshme for either the fall, sprig or summer semester. Freshma or Trasfer/Higher Educatio Opportuity Program (HEOP) Applicats Admissio to HEOP is reserved for New York state residets oly. Admissio is based o academic ad icome criteria. As a rule, admissio to this program is ope to a limited umber of freshme. Summer erollmet prior to begiig the freshma year is madatory. Admissio of trasfer studets is o a space-available basis. Studets trasferrig ito HEOP must have participated i a HEOP, EOP or SEEK program at the istitutio previously atteded. Trasfer Applicats Studets, domestic or iteratioal, who have completed postsecodary coursework at a accredited college or uiversity, withi or outside the Uited States, upo completio of secodary school, may apply for either the sprig, summer or fall semester. Applicats for Re-Etry Vaugh College of Aeroautics ad Techology studets who have ot bee i attedace for oe semester or more are required to apply for re-etry. Studets applyig for re-admissio will be expected to state their reasos for leavig the college, ad explai why they desire to retur. Official trascripts of college-level courses take durig this period of absece from the College must be submitted with the applicatio for re-admissio. The applicatio for re-etry is available i the office of admissios ad must be retured to the office of admissios with a $40 applicatio fee. Such studets may apply for the fall, sprig or summer semester. Nomatriculated (No-degree) Applicats Studets who may or may ot be erolled at other istitutios, but wish to take courses at the College, are welcome to eroll i the fall, sprig ad summer semester. Such studets must meet the miimum requiremets for admissio. The Applicatio Process The College requires each applicat to submit the appropriate documets listed below. It is your resposibility to esure that the documets eeded to complete your applicatio are submitted i a timely fashio. The Applicatio for Admissio Applicatio fee A $40 (US dollars) o-refudable fee, payable to the College, i the form of a persoal bak check or moey order, is required of each applicat. This fee may be waived with a official fee waiver from your school s college advisor. High School Trascripts A record of all academic work completed at the time of applicatio is required. This report should iclude certified records of ay atioal examiatios required for completio of secodary educatio (e.g. CXC, GCE, O ad A level, IB, Frech Baccalaureat, Maturita, Bagrut, Abitur, etc.) outside the US. Immuizatio Appropriate immuizatios as required by New York state are required by all studets (two measles, oe mumps ad oe rubella). Be sure to ask your guidace office to submit them oce they are available. Fial Trascripts All offers of admissio made by the College are cotiget upo receipt ad review of fial high school trascripts, icludig evidece that you completed your secodary educatio as well as appropriate immuizatios as required by New York state. College Trascripts Are required of all applicats who have atteded aother college or uiversity. Official trascripts otig ay degrees eared from each istitutio you atteded must be filed with the office of admissios. Trasfer studets who have completed their educatio i the US ad eared i excess of 24 semester hours of credit followig completio of the high school diploma are ot required to submit high school trascripts. Letters of Recommedatio Though ot required, letters of recommedatio ca add to the stregth of ay applicatio, especially i the scholarship review process. Stadardized Tests Official results of the Scholastic Assessmet Test (SAT I) or the America College Test (ACT) are required for studets applyig to all bachelor degree programs. Vaugh College s SAT code is 2001, ad the ACT code is 2699. TOEFL Official results of the Test of Eglish as a Foreig Laguage (TOEFL) must be submitted by all applicats from coutries where Eglish is ot the official laguage of istructio. A miimum score of 550 o the paper exam is required for admissio cosideratio or 213 o the computer-based format 80 iteret based format. Studets who fall below this rage will be required to complete a itesive Eglish laguage program. Iteratioal Applicat s Affidavit of Support All iteratioal studets requirig a form I-20/I-20AB i order to apply for a F-1 studet visa must complete this applicatio, alog with the College s Iteratioal Applicatio Supplemet. This applicatio supplemet, alog with istructios ad the College s Iteratioal Studet Guide ca be obtaied by cotactig the office of admissios, or o the College s website, www.vaugh.edu.
