Phone: +55(11)3091-7239 Email: antunes@icb.usp.br Other Information I would like to have the opportunity to attend classes of subjects not directly related to the Pharmacy course. The courses related to science that exists within the Pharmacy course, University of São Paulo (USP) offers me and I do not believe there is a need to review these courses in full. I believe it is very valuable for a student who goes abroad, to have courses and study subjects that will actually enhance and raise the academic background and consequently professional of that student. My current professional activity at Roche is related to marketing strategy, clinical selling, market research, Market Access and Health Economics. These activities are developed in order to increase the intensity of clinical selling in all Latin American countries, design, implement and monitor marketing action plans for all these countries, in order to increase sales of Roche diagnostic tests and mainly, create a scenario and philosophy of Medical Value, which means offering products that meet medical needs not currently met by the pharmaceutical industry, with real and significant impact on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients. Accordingly, I would have the opportunity to take courses that give me the prospect of Health Economics, Industrial Organization, Economics of Human Resource Management, Economics of Markets and Pricing, Political Science, Management (with concentration in business), Marketing, Global Health, Health and Disease, Health Studies or Philosophy. I believe it would be very enriching for my academic background and my profession, that despite differ from pharmaceutical matters, every professional need this broad view to challenging opportunities in the corporate world.

Letter of Recommendation for Milena Vasco January 07, 2015 To Whom It May Concern: I am privileged to write in support of Milena Vasco, an undergraduate student of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), as a candidate for the Science Without Borders, a mobility scientific program launched by the Brazilian Research Council in order to give to Brazilian students the chance to expose themselves to an environment of high competitiveness and entrepreneurship. I first met Milena in 2014 at the Human Physiology course, where I were responsible for teaching cardiovascular system, as part of the biomedical sciences disciplines offered to students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Since the beginning I could witness Milena s interest to learn and her motivation to exchange knowledge with her classmates, and I am sure she is mature enough to search and also learn the different subjects from other sources by herself. The Human Physiology is 10-level course and Milena scored 6, which is considered a very good standard for the University of Sao Paulo. It is important to mention that Milena had also been involved in different academic activities, such as scientific initiation at the Chemistry Institute, and trainee program at the Sanofi Pasteur and Roche Pharmaceutical companies. I do recommend Milena to apply for the Science Without Borders program and I am sure that she will continue to build up her theoretical knowledge in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences.
