Prepared the 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 Part B Annual report for the CSDE. Conducted an audit of Program Review activities for the period from 1998 through 2003 for the CSDE. Served as coordinator for revisions and pilot testing of the CMT/CAPT Skills Checklist for the CSDE. Provided training related to alternate assessment requirements for Connecticut school districts. Served as interim Director of Student Services for the Putnam Public Schools from June through September 2002.

1993-2001 Education Consultant, Connecticut State Department of Education, Middletown, CT. (Retired August 2001) Responsibilities: Unit Coordinator for Program Compliance Review of special education programs. Provided monitoring and technical assistance to Urban and Priority school districts. Served as a member of the Administration Unit. Conducted parent/district dispute mediations. Reviewed and resolved parent complaints. Coordinated the development and implementation of standard special education forms for the state. Designed and implemented a Medicaid billing system for special education and related services. Served as Program Manager for IDEA Part B Sliver Grants in the area of Least Restrictive Environment. Coordinated data focused monitoring of school districts. Co directed project to develop an alternative assessment form of the Connecticut Mastery Test (CMT) and the Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT). 1992-1993 Private Consultant. Responsibilities: Completed a study of the feasibility and benefits of creating a special education collaborative among nine school districts in the East Bay region of Rhode Island. Evaluation of a middle and secondary guidance program for the Windham Public Schools. Shared responsibility for Board of Education policy development, curriculum review, data processing and community relations. 1974-1976 Administrator, Education Professional Development Act (EPDA) Technical Assistant Project for Mainstreaming. University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT Responsibilities: Administrated the final two years of a five year, 2.5 million dollar federal grant to train 21 state directors of special education and school administrators in three urban areas (Philadelphia, PA, Norfolk, VA, Worcester, MA) in effective system change strategies to accomplish the integration special education students into regular education classes/schools. 1973-1974 Special Education Consultant, Eastford Elementary School, Eastford, CT Responsibilities: Evaluated student performance and provided collaboration/consultation support to teachers (regarding students with disabilities) in grades K-8. 1972-1973 Special Education Teacher, Eastford Elementary School, Eastford, CT Responsibilities: Taught special education students in grades K-8 in a non-categorical resource setting. 1971-1972 Special Education Teacher, Vernon Public Schools, Vernon, CT Responsibilities: Developed and implemented a non-categorical resource program for special education students in grades 6 to 12. 1967-1970 Teacher, High School Social Studies, Concord Public Schools, Concord, NH
