Our Program s Mission We are a community program leader in orthopaedic didactics, surgical experience, and published research. This is accomplished through a foundation in education and early/often/diverse general and sub-specialty surgical experience Excellent operative and clinical training with emphasis on collegial professional relationships and resident work/life balance Provide residents with the resources to develop research and subspecialty interests Ultimately, to train orthopaedic surgeons with excellent clinical and operative skills who can successfully enter practice or obtain the fellowship of their choice

A Day in the Life Round on patients 6 6:30 am Fracture Conference 6:30 7 am Wednesdays all day education: Spectrum Health Grand Rounds (weekly)/cogmet conference (once monthly) Resident led education at Metro: Resident lectures Saw bone labs OITE preparation Resident continuity clinic in PM OR cases 7:30 am Day ends 5 7 pm based on case load, rotation Typically OR 3-4 days/week, clinic 1-2 days/week, ALWAYS extra cases to scrub in for Home call
