DAY 10: DAY TRIP TO THE LOIRE VALLEY (Wednesday) Meet your Forum Tour Manager and travel by private motor coach to the Loire Valley. Visit the Château de Chenonceau. Often described as the ladies chateau, because they have influenced its design and destiny throughout its history. It was not always the chateau we see today. Continue to Amboise. Stop at La Cave Aux Fouées for lunch (subject to availability). This afternoon, visit the Gothic Château d Amboise. Situated in the Centre Val de Loire region in the town of Amboise, the medieval fortress of Amboise was replaced by a royal residence during the reigns of Kings Charles VIII and François I (late 15th - early 16th century). A number of men and women of letters from Europe as well as artists stayed at the Court of Amboise at the sovereigns invitation. For example, Leonardo da Vinci, who was buried in the château s chapel. Return to your host families for dinner and night accommodation.

This afternoon, visit the Gothic Cathédrale Notre-Dame. Climb the Towers to experience the view as well as a glimpse of the famous gargoyles. You will visit the Sainte Chapelle, a masterpiece of Flamboyant Gothic architecture built by Saint Louis. Discover its unique stained glass windows rendering the air iridescent with light and color, symbols of the Heavenly Jerusalem. Later in the afternoon, head up to the highest point in Paris: Montmartre (known locally as La Butte). Climb the steps to reach the Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre s hilltop church and most famous landmark. Enjoy a farewell dinner and a music show at La Bonne Franquette. Night accommodation at your hotel. DAY 14: RETURN (Sunday) Transfer to Paris airport for your return flight home. A bientôt et bon voyage!

EXCHANGE PROGRAM An exchange program is an excellent alternative to the classic student tour as it offers the opportunity for students to fully immerse themselves in a different culture, practice and improve their knowledge of a foreign language, and make international connections and friends. The Exchange Program is organized between Sharon High School in Sharon and l ESED in Saulx Les Chartreux. The conditions of this exchange have been agreed upon between the two schools. Note that the number of pupils participating in the exchange may differ between the two schools. Forum cannot guarantee that both schools have the same number of participants. However, additional hosting families will be found in the case that one school does not have the same number as the other school. E.S.E.D. 88 rue de la Division-Leclerc, 91160 SAULX LES CHARTREUX, France http://www.esed.fr HOSTING A FOREIGN STUDENT When participating in an exchange, families are expected to treat their guest in the same manner that they would like their son or daughter to be treated by their exchange partner and their family when they participate in the other side of the exchange. This is the basic reciprocal agreement of the exchange partner families. The main focus of the host family is to provide meals and lodging to the foreign student, as well as spend time with the student so they can have an authentic experience and better understand a new culture. This gives them the opportunity to see how life in the USA compares to their life at home, as well as practice their foreign language skills in real life situations. The student exchange form provides all necessary information about your guest, including their likes, dislikes, a bit of information about their day to day family life/routine, as well as information about any allergies and emergency contact details.
