Summer Camp for Elite Students at HKUST 15-21 July 2018 Leadership training, introduction of Engineering PG Programs, Lab/Facilities Visit, Academic Talk, Cultural exchange and sightseeing will be arranged for participants to give them an opportunity to explore their research interest and have diversity exposure.
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Summer Camp for Elite Students in School of Engineering Summer Camp for Elite Students at School of Engineering, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Date: 15-21 July 2018 Venue: Hong Kong, China Greetings from School of Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)! We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Summer Camp for Elite Students at HKUST; it is a great and enjoyable way to learn about Hong Kong and China while building up your academic network. The Summer Camp for Elite Students is open for senior undergraduate students and master s students who demonstrate outstanding qualities of academic performance, research potential, and communication skills. This exciting Summer Camp is a combination of Leadership training session, research talks, Lab tour, industry visit, interactive activities as well as off campus sight-seeing. It give participants the opportunity to explore their research interest and have diversity exposure. School of Engineering will provide accommodation, local transportation, meals, external seminars, and cultural activities during the camp. The program fee for the participants from our partner institutions will be waived. They will only be required to pay for the international airfares between their home countries and HK. Small amount of sponsorship on the airfares may be provided, subject to the agreement with us [i.e. HK$1,000 for participants from Asia; HK$3,000 for participants from outside Asia (except North/South America and West/North Europe); HK$4000 for participants from North/South America and West/North Europe]. For participants who are not from our partner institutions, they may be required to pay for the full program fee of the camp (HK$6,600/US$846) and the international airfares between their home countries and HK. Subject to their academic performance and the agreement of School of Engineering, their program fee may be waived. All students, excluding those from visa waiver countries, are required to obtain a valid entry visa immediately after receiving acceptance notification from this program. School of Engineering will provide assistance for students in obtaining the visa, if requested. It is also mandatory for the students to purchase the medical/travel insurance before their arrival in HK. Interested parties will be required to submit the online application through the online application system (https://pgservice.seng.ust.hk/summercamp) during 15 January -23 February 2018. Selection result will be released by early April 2018.
