TENDER FOR : WMSKL (I) / FY17-18 : Operation of Canteen at Wesley Methodist School, Kuala Lumpur (International) located at No. 185 Jalan Lima, Off Jalan Sentul, 51000 Kuala Lumpur CLOSING DATE : Date : 29 August 2016 Time : 4.00 pm 1.0 INVITATION CONDITIONS OF TENDER Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) (denoted as WMSKL(I) ) hereby invite experienced and competent Canteen Operators with valid registration with the relevant Authorities to participate in this tender exercise. 2.0 DURATION OF CONTRACT 2.1 The duration of the contract of operating the canteen is for a period of Two (2) years, with the option to extend for another one (1) year i.e. (2+1) and further extension if satisfactory. 2.2 The successful Operator will be required to sign an Agreement with WMSKL(I). 3.0 LOCATION OF CANTEEN 3.1 The canteen services will be operated at the premises within WMSKL(I). 3.2 The area of the School Canteen is includes the cafeteria, wet kitchen, dry kitchen, and service area. 3

4.0 SERVICE EXPECTATION AND TIME 4.1 Time of service is expected to be from Monday to Friday (6.30am to 4.30pm). 4.2 However, there will be other dates and times when there are Special Events and functions which can take place after the normal hours of operation and on weekends whereby the Canteen need to cater for food and refreshments.. 4.3 The Canteen Operator must be able to cater to a student population of about 1,000 students and 100 staff during recess time and lunch time. 5.0 CONDITIONS OF QUALIFICATION 5.1 The Proprietor or Company need to have a valid Certificate of Registration with the Registrar of Business / Companies Commision of Malaysia. 5.2 The profile of the Company to be submitted together with the number of years background experience in operating food business. 5.3 Documentary evidence of Paid Up Capital such as Form 24, including Form 9, 49 and the latest Audited Financial Statements are to be furnished. 5.4 All employees especially food and beverage handlers are required to be healthy and to undergo annual health screening. It is also mandatory for them to be given the TY2 / Typhim Injection, Cholera and Hepatitis B injections and their Health Certificates to be presented for verification. 5.5 Hygenic food storage, preparation and food handling are important including proper waste disposal, cleanliness and pest control procedures are to be in place to ensure a clean environment. 5.6 Proposed diverse sales menu including the pricing which should include hot food, snacks, beverages and hot & cold drinks etc. There 4

should be a variety of nutritious local Malaysian / Asian food and International food / Western food. 6.0 RENTAL RATE AND OTHER CHARGES AND DEPOSITS 6.1 The rental rate for the Canteen premises is Ringgit Malaysia Five Thousand (RM5,000.00) per month which will also cover water usage charges. 6.2 Rental Deposit of 3 months rent (ie. RM15,000.00) and Electricity Deposit equivalent to half month s rental (ie. RM2,500.00) will be collected in advance and will be refunded after deduction of outstanding rental or electricity charges upon termination of rental agreement. 6.3 Electricity consumption will be charged according to TNB tariff rates and a separate Meter will be installed by WMSKL(I). to record the usage which will be billed monthly. 7.0 EQUIPMENTS, UTENSILS AND SEATING AREAS 7.1 All kitchen equipments and utensils for the running of the canteen will be supplied by the Canteen Operator 7.2 Cafetaria tables and benches at the eating area will be provided by WMSKL(I). 8.0 Other Matters 8.1 All expenses related to the preparation and submission of the Proposal for the Canteen Operation are to be borne solely by the Tenderer. 8.2 After the closing date of submission of Tender, WMSKL(I) will not entertain any further request or appeal. 8.3 WMSKL(I) is not obliged to return the Tender Documents or supporting documents or to acknowledge receipt of all of the 5

Tenders submitted. 8.4 WMSKL(I) will send written notice only to participants who have been short listed for tender interview. 8.5 The decision by the Tender Committee of the successful Tender is final.
