By Classroom Core Sentence Structure Review: 40 Task Cards Plus Quiz Introduction Grammar Busters activities enable students to tackle difficult elements of grammar through hands-on practice. This is the fourth in a series of four sets of task cards designed to help students identify types of sentence structure. In this set, students review simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences by identifying sentence types, clauses, coordinating conjunctions, and relative pronouns. Also included is a 20-question multiple-choice quiz on all sentence types. Answer keys are provided for both the task cards and quiz. What s Included? 40 task cards (See page 5) Print out the task cards and posters. You may want to use cardstock or laminate the cards for extended durability. Intended as a review, this is the fourth and final set in a series. The review is for identifying simple, compound, complex, and compoundcomplex sentences. Students enjoy using the task cards with a partner or alone for instruction, class competitions, or review. If desired, copy the recording sheets (page 15) for students to use. Teacher Tip: Teacher Tip: Store your set of task cards with the build-your-own storage case template provided (page 4). This is an organizational tool that you and your students will love! You can project the PDF version of the task cards with a projector onto a white board while you use the task cards during whole class instruction. Quiz (See page 17) The quiz includes 20 questions related to simple, compound, complex, and compoundcomplex sentence structures. Answer Key for Task Cards & Quiz (See page 19) All answers are included. You can guide students as they participate, or they can brush up on their skills by checking their own work independently. by Classroom Core www.teacherspayteachers.com/store/classroom-core 2
