Team members: Drsey Armstrng, Jhn Burgess, Cdy Cnnr, Rbin Cunningham, Ellen Gundlach, Timthy Newby, Natasha Watkins We appreciate the Digital Educatin ffice s recgnitin and encuragement f excellent nline teaching. Each award amunt shuld be equal and the amunt will be left up t the Digital Educatin Department based n funds available fr this pprtunity. If a team shuld win the award, the mnetary stipend wuld be divided amng all the award winners. We wuld like t re-establish a ne-day, annual, public Purdue Digital Educatin cnference, perhaps during Natinal Distance Learning week. The award winners frm the past year wuld give presentatins n what makes their curses special and effective. An nline library f screenshts and/r vide turs with written descriptins f winning and hnrable mentin curses shuld be made available t all Purdue instructrs. The Digital Educatin representative that facilitates each cmmittee shuld try t remve the nminatin infrmatin abut the individual/teams that are nminated t try t make it an annymus prcess fr the cmmittee t evaluate. Once the first cuts are made and finalists in each categry are
decided, the DE representative shuld have access t cpy the curse int a Blackbard shell s the ther cmmittee members may actually see a versin f the curse t make final decisins. The Nminatin Prcess shuld start with a generic shrt nminatin frm that triggers email t the nminee t be cmpleted (self-nminatins are encuraged): Award Title: Nminatr: Name: Nminee Inf: Email/phne: Name(s): Title(s) f Nminee: Curse being nminated (Include Semester, Sectin and Instructr): Brief descriptin f hw the nminee(s) meet the stated criteria (n mre than 500 wrds) This wuld generate an email t the nminee t cmplete the custmized nminatin frm fr each award infrmatin.
