Course Information Course Overview The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia is pleased to announce The Eleventh Annual Update on Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. This half-day course is intended for pediatric ophthalmologists, pediatric healthcare providers and general ophthalmologists, as well as optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmic technicians and other specialists interested in amblyopia and strabismus. General Information The conference will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia in the Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Pediatric Research Center. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The registration fee includes breakfast, breaks, parking and program materials. Accreditation The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. Designation of Credit The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia designates this educational activity for a maximum of 3.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Course Objectives Upon completion of this course, the participant will: Understand the neuroanatomical causes of skew deviation Differentiate skew deviation from 4th nerve palsy, disassociated vertical deviation (DVD) and other vertical strabismus with simple clinical tests Recognize the effects of amblyopia on visuomotor behavior beyond visual acuity Once registration has been processed, a confirmation letter will be mailed.
