Yes No Eligibility for Government Funding Eligibility for government funded training in Victoria is based on your citizenship, residency status, age and previously completed qualifications. Generally, you are eligible for a government-subsidised training if you are: An Australian citizen An Australian Permanent Citizen (holder of a permanent visa) A New Zealand citizen and are any of the following: under 20 years of age Seeking to enrol in a Foundation Skills List course (and do not hold a Diploma or above qualification or are receiving core skills training in other sectors) Seeking to enrol in VCE or VCAL Seeking to enrol in an apprenticeship 20 years and older and upskilling by seeking to enrol in a course at a higher level than your existing qualification. You are eligible to commence a maximum of two subsidised courses at the same qualification level in your lifetime. Approved applications will be processed within 14 days from the date of application. The assessment of refund applications shall be granted as indicated below: Outline of Refunds Withdrawal more than 48 hours prior to agreed start date Withdrawal less than 48 hours prior to agreed start date Course withdrawn by CTI CTI is unable to provide the course for which the original enrolment and payment has been made Loss of Deposit (but can be transferred to another course fee) Cancellation fee of 25% of the total course fee Full refund or reschedule Full refund Extenuating circumstances Students may have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from attending scheduled course dates. These circumstances may include (but are not limited to): Illness, Family or personal matters Other extraordinary reasons Where evidence can be successfully provided to support the Student s circumstances, course fees may either be transferred to the next available course where applicable, or a refund of unused course fees will be issued. This decision of assessing the extenuating circumstances rests with the RTO Manager and shall be assessed on a case by case situation. Please note: where the Student breaches the conditions of enrolment no refund is payable. This policy and the availability of complaints and appeals processes, does not remove your right to take action under Australia s consumer protection laws, including but not limited to a statutory cooling off period if one applies. Privacy Statement & Declaration Privacy Notice Under the Data Provision Requirements 2012, Construction Training International is required to collect personal information about you and to disclose that personal information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). Your personal information (including the personal information contained on this enrolment form and your training activity data) may be used or disclosed by Construction Training International for statistical, regulatory and research purposes. Construction Training International may disclose your personal information for these purposes to third parties, including: School if you are a secondary student undertaking VET, including a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship; Employer if you are enrolled in training paid by your employer; Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorised agencies; NCVER; Organisations conducting student surveys; and Researchers. Personal information disclosed to NCVER may be used or disclosed for the following purposes: Issuing statements of attainment or qualification, and populating authenticated VET transcripts; facilitating statistics and research relating to education, including surveys; understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information; and administering VET, including programme administration, regulation, monitoring and evaluation. NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the VET Data Policy and all NCVER policies and protocols (including those published on NCVER s website at www.ncver.edu.au). Enrolment Conditions In completing this enrolment form the student is agreeing to a contact with Construction Training International that stipulates the following: Once the student commences the nominated course, Construction Training International will deliver the Training Program using competency based training principles and practices in accordance with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). CTI and the student agree to work together to produce a unified approach in the student achieving the relevant course outcome The course fees payable to Construction Training International are for the provision of the following services: Training and Assessment, Ongoing Administration Processes, Learning Resources, and when appropriate a Statement of Attainment Where a student has undertaken an assessment and it has been marked as Not yet Competent (NYC), they be allowed to re-sit the test/or have a re-assessment. If they are deemed NYC for a second time they are to re-enrol into that unit/ subject. This will include re-training and therefore a re-enrolment fee for the unit will apply. For re- issuance of Certification the student will be charged $25.00 per document required. Payment for the re-issuance of such documents is required prior to the re-issuance occurring by CTI. CTI reserves the right to accept or reject any application for enrolment at its discretion. CTI reserves the right to cancel any course prior to the commencement date of the course should it deem it necessary and in that event, shall refund all payments received from the student (see refund policy). Deposits are payable when placing a booking and these are NON REFUNDABLE but can be transferred. Refunds are made when a student application supports one of the below reasons for refund (see next page for Refund conditions). Any refundable amounts found to be due to the student will be made within 14 days. Although there is no official expiry date on a course that is undertaken with CTI, it is a licensing recommendation that you complete a refresher course every 2 years to ensure that you maintain currency in meeting licensing requirements and industry standards. It is the responsibility of the student to undertake ongoing refresher course Student Declaration In signing and submitting this Enrolment Form the applicant acknowledges: That the information provided by the Applicant in their application is complete and correct.
