PRESENTED BY: Dear Art Educator; The Omaha Summer Art Festival's 22nd annual Young Artist Exhibition is rapidly approaching! It is always a pleasure to display the amazing talent of students in the Omaha and Council Bluffs metro area schools. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all area High Schools and Middle Schools for supporting the Young Artist Exhibition for more than twenty years. We know the exhibit wouldn t be successful without your involvement! The dates and times for the 2017 Exhibition are: Friday, June 9 from 11 a.m. 6 p.m. Saturday, June 10 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday, June 11 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. All artwork will be displayed at the W. Dale Clark Library, 215 South 15 th Street. All work will be displayed on the main gallery level. Each High School and each Middle School may submit a maximum total of twenty (20) pieces of artwork per school. (10) pieces of 2- Dimensional artwork and up to ten (10) pieces of 3- Dimensional artwork. These limits will allow the Exhibition to display a broad range of talent, while maintaining the high artistic value of the show. The Omaha Summer Arts Festival s Young Artist Exhibition offers several special opportunities for students, including: Young Artist- In- Action: High School students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their talents as they draw, paint, sculpt, weave, etc. during the Exhibition. If you have an interested student(s), please contact Paula Yoachim as soon as possible to sign- up. Artwork Sale: All students will have the opportunity to sell their artwork during the Exhibition. Interested students must contact Paula Yoachim to get more information. Gallery Framing and Showcasing: Local galleries will be randomly selecting work to frame and showcase during and after the Exhibition. Young Artists Awards Reception Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. This event allows the student artists, their family members and educators an opportunity to view both Exhibitions. In addition, this is when the Festival presents recognition awards, raffle prizes and senior scholarships. This reception will be located on the 4th floor administrative level of the library and light refreshments will be served.

Dale Clark Library (main front desk) during one of the following dates/times: Thursday May 11 from 4 8 p.m. Saturday, May 13 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Please contact us directly if accommodating these specific dates and times will prohibit you or your students from participating in the Exhibition. All artwork delivered to the library will be placed in secure storage until the Exhibition. Unfortunately, we are unable to pick- up artwork from individual schools. All High School/ Middle School artwork MUST be picked up at the W. Dale Clark Library during one of the following dates/times: Sunday, June 11 from 3:30 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 12 from 4 7 p.m. Enclosed you will find the following registration materials. Allowed categories include drawing, graphics, printmaking, 3D mixed media, painting, sculpture, and photography. All 2- dimensional artwork must be matted or mounted to reinforce the back for display purposes. All 3- dimensional work must be suitable for display. Entries must not be copies or reproductions of other work. (i.e.: No paintings of Mickey Mouse or other licensed characters.) By entering the exhibition, all entrants consent to the use of their names, likeness and/or biographical information for advertising or promotional purposes without compensation. Submission of any entry grants the Omaha Summer Arts Festival, Inc. and its agents the right to publish, use, adapt, edit, modify, photograph and/or display such entry in any and all media and locations without compensation to the entrant. Submission of any entry signifies parent s or legal guardian s consent to all of the terms and conditions of this exhibition.
