I. These are the central themes in this journal: Theoretical/empirical approaches and/or practical of guidance in its diverse modalities and dimensions: educational and pedagogical, professional and career related, personal, psychological, familiar, communitarian, organisational, etc. Tutoring, tutoring function, mentoring and coaching, in diverse contexts including formative, organisation, formal and informal. The design of programs, strategies and innovations relating to guidance, as well as the development of techniques and methodologies for psychopedagogical intervention. The implementation of programs and techniques of psychopedagogical intervention directed at populations and to specific contexts. The Revista Española de Orientación y Psicopedagogía is published quarterly and each number contains 8 to 10 scientific articles and/or experiences related to the world of educational guidance, both personal and professional. Each number includes also articles and experiences contributed by international professionals. Its objective is to disseminate knowledge in this area for the improvement of research, policy and practice in the discipline, and it targets the scientific community in guidance, education and longlife learning. It accepts unpublished articles and collaborations, preferably in English or Spanish. Research works are preferred, although theoretical reflections, proposals or practical experiences in guidance and psychopedagogical intervention are also accepted. The journal is organised in three differentiated sections:

1. Articles: Articles can include research, essays or studies, mostly Spanish, European and Latin American; and including both quantitative and qualitative methodology. Articles are classified according to their typology: 1.1. Research papers (8000 words) present research contributing to the development of guidance as a scientific discipline. They must provide scientific evidence of the results of the investigation, as well as implications for practice. Correlational and inferential research design about the constructs and variables involved in the orientation process. The design and evaluation of techniques and guidance interventions for the longlife development of individuals in their contexts The construction and validation of diagnostic instruments, well as of all contributions which add significantly to the advancement of guidance and its development as a scientific discipline. 1.2. Theoretical studies (8000 words) consist of essays, historical analysis, comparative papers and review of scientific literature and public policy on significant aspects of guidance, helping to explore some of today's problems and providing solutions for professional practice. 1.3. Innovation and research experiences (4000 words) refer to brief descriptions and analysis of practical experiences of innovation and applied research in various contexts and modalities of guidance and psychopedagogy. 2. Reviews (500-700 words): The reviews will refer preferably to relevant scientific publications and innovations in the field of guidance and/or psychopedagogy. It will present recent works, excluding popular works, textbooks and teaching materials, or works that defend principles that are contrary to democratic values. The Editorial Board will consider the quality of the works in the selection of reviews. The recession must not exceed 700 words and will be headed by the details of the reviewed publication (strictly following the rules of the journal). The name of the author of the recession must appear at the end of the text. 3. General information disseminates news on activities, meetings and conferences on guidance and psychopedagogy; diagnostic materials; and regional, national or international legislation. It also includes news from Organisations of FEOP (Federación Española de Orientación y Psicopedagogía http://www.uned.es/feop-reop/ ) (activities, meetings and guidance seminars, and also relevant local news and legislation). REOP, as scientific journal that meets internationally recognised parameters of quality, requires authors to include in their submission an abstract both in English and Spanish, and keywords in both languages. The journal recognises both Spanish and English as official languages but could occasionally publish articles in other languages. All submissions are reviewed by the Editorial Board prior to external review in order to assess fitness with the thematic scope of the journal and with standards of publication. Subsequently, submissions

are subjected to blind peer review by two external experts in the field. A positive assessment by both reviewers is required to the manuscript to be accepted for publication in the REOP. Due to space limitations, only articles highly rated and with compelling reviews will be accepted. The Editorial Board acts as arbitrator in the case of articles with divergent reviews. Each published manuscript reflects the date of submission and acceptance for publication. II. Presentation and manuscript submission Articles must adhere to the referencing guidelines published in 6 th edition of the Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) at www.apastyle.org, a brief example or APA guidelines is presented in Annex 1.
