TOP 400 LARGEST NON-PROFITS OF 2010, according to The Chronicle of Philanthropy (ranked in order of US popularity online, according to Alexa.com, as of Oct. 27, 2011) Bank of America Charitable Gift Fund (Charlotte, NC) had the highest traffic ranking (#28) partly because the web address is www.bofa.com - the same general web address for the bank's online banking services. California Community Foundation (Los Angeles, CA) had the lowest traffic ranking (#649,293) although 68 organizations did not even receive a ranking. If ProCon.org were one of the largest 400 US nonprofits, our Alexa traffic ranking (#14,725) would have put us in 142nd place out of the top 400. as of Oct. 27, 2011 Organization Private Support (funding) Alexa Traffic Ranking (US) 1 Bank of America Charitable Gift Fund $49,992,088 28 2 National Public Radio $70,261,727 246 3 Mayo Clinic $184,300,000 398 4 Stanford University $598,890,327 479 5 Public Broadcasting Service $282,469,000 586 6 University of California at Berkeley $307,509,000 597 7 Harvard University $596,963,000 648 8 Massachusetts Institute of Technology $307,182,000 747 9 Cornell University $308,219,000 954 10 University of California at Los Angeles $340,406,763 974 11 Pennsylvania State University $195,333,000 979 12 Columbia University $402,357,000 1,024 13 University of Washington $286,628,819 1,033 14 University of Pennsylvania $381,592,000 1,042 15 University of Texas at Austin $235,292,812 1,078 16 New York University $349,214,000 1,168 17 University of Michigan $252,098,000 1,172 18 Purdue University at West Lafayette $191,779,000 1,182 19 University of Southern California $424,157,113 1,278 20 University of Minnesota $245,003,442 1,297 21 University of Florida $182,740,586 1,437 22 Ohio State University $215,448,385 1,460 23 Brigham Young University $58,782,000 1,517 24 Smithsonian Institution $170,395,732 1,646 25 University of Wisconsin at Madison $313,438,485 1,677 26 Rutgers University $93,214,718 1,728 27 University of Virginia $194,218,412 1,748 28 University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill $268,128,121 1,838 29 University of California at San Diego $106,599,050 1,902 30 Yale University $380,903,000 2,066 31 Michigan State University $109,448,000 2,111 32 University of Arizona $148,090,754 2,116 33 Arizona State University at Tempe $103,643,320 2,155 34 University of California at Irvine $89,243,000 2,202 35 Northwestern University $230,596,000 2,211 36 North Carolina State University $77,963,313 2,285
