The Cordially invites your students to participate in our "Drop Savers" Water Conservation Poster Contest In celebration of nationally proclaimed Water Conservation Month in April and "Drinking Water Week May 6-12th, the is sponsoring a water conservation poster contest with all of the local students. We feel that our best opportunity to conserve water is through a long-range education and awareness program, and what better way than to begin with our young people. The contest encourages young students to consider the importance of water conservation by creating a poster depicting a water conservation idea (in slogan form, drawing form, or both). The contest allows students to promote water awareness and the importance of water conservation in their daily routines. All posters will be judged by the Water Drop Savers Committee, who will select one winner from each division. All participating students will receive a memento and prizes will be given for 1 st and 2 nd places in each division. The first place winners in each division will have their art work displayed on a city vehicle, and the teacher/parent (if home schooled) of the 1 st place winning poster will receive art supplies for the classroom. Additionally the winner s artwork from each Division will be sent to the state competition where they will represent the and have an opportunity for additional prizes and recognition. Won't you please participate in this worthy and educational event? Please read the attached contest rules, and be sure to note the deadline for returning your school posters to us.
