Munich Business School Information on the Study Program Full-time MBA International Management The MBA International Management (MBA IM) at Munich Business School (MBS) is a state-of-the-art MBA program tailored to the needs and demands of today s globalized business world. It is designed to convey a comprehensive set of business knowledge and management tools, and to teach, develop and enhance executive and leadership skills. The 15-month full-time MBA IM program prepares you to work in a complex multicultural world. The program targets international candidates with a non-business degree, but offers enough depth for business degree holders seeking to further refine and strengthen their education. The MBA International Management is designed to cement business foundations, solidifying the basis for international and multicultural work. The selection of two elective courses, an international focus combined with an individual immersion in either a study abroad, internship, or global consulting project allows you to enhance knowledge regarding a specific field of study, country or organization. This process improves the skill application and reinforces your adaptation to new businesses and cultural environments throughout your career. 4 Reasons for the MBA International Management 1. International Degree The MBA International Management at MBS represents a widely respected academic degree which can open doors into and within the inter national business world. 2. Comprehensive Content The program covers a wide array of business and management topics including specific regional trends and markets as well as the development and enhancement of executive and leadership skills. 3. Hands-on International Teamwork The management and actual implementation of teamwork in culturally diverse groups is a key component of the program. 4. Compact Structure The MBA International Management is based on a compact program structure designed to enable progress and facilitate quick results. The MBA International Management helped me to gain intercultural competence, developed my understanding of the business world and improved my management skills. Sushma (India), MBA International Management

Munich Business School The Munich MBA Program Structure & Study Contents The MBA International Management is divided into three terms over a period of 15 months. Each term covers topics from the three major modules Business & Management Knowledge, Executive & Leadership Skills, and International Business Environment. This effective modular structure is the basis for a challenging and compact MBA program which allows its completion in less than one and a half years thus minimizing the time you spend putting your professional career on hold. You receive in-class instruction on business topics and executive skills during Terms 1 and 2. In addition, you choose two Elective Courses and one International Focus. In Term 3, you can opt for an International Immersion studying one semester abroad. Alternatively, you may also choose a Practical Immersion (internship or international consulting project) combined with an International Week. Depending on your practical business experience, you may be eligible to waive the individual immersion in Term 3. This so-called Fast Track reduces the overall study time to a total of twelve months. The Master Thesis at the end of the program demonstrates the your profound understanding of current business topics and your ability to apply specific scientific methods to a real-world business situation. The topic will be chosen in collaboration with a company. Therefore, the knowledge and research presented in the thesis are valuable for both you and the company. Term 1 Sept - Dec Term 2 Jan - May Term 3 June - Dec BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE Mgmt. of Organizations Managerial Economics International Mgmt. In addition, you choose two of four elective courses. This combination produces management generalists with a deeper understanding of a particular field. You may select one elective course per semester. Choices are: Management in Emerging Markets or Digital Business Transformation in Term 1 as well as Global Supply Chain Management or Social Entrepreneurship in Term 2.

Vital Skills for Executives Munich Business School s education concept emphasizes the imparting of knowledge on current Business & Management Knowledge by using modern teaching methods and a strong focus on practical application. Furthermore, MBA Students are provided with a toolbox of vital Executive & Leadership Skills that every modern leader should possess. The small group sizes (max. 30 students per class) facilitate the exchange of ideas and learnings and therefore increase the speed with which you hone your executive skills. A Truly International Experience The International Business Environment section of the MBA IM program is dedicated to exploring international markets and economies that are currently impacting global business. You can choose one of the following three International Focuses: Business in China, Business in Germany and Europe or Business in Latin America. But the internationality of the program does not end with its content: The Munich MBA is taught in English by a mix of international and German faculty, the student body consists of minimum 75% non-german students, a semester abroad or an International Week are fully integrated into the curriculum and you have the opportunity to attend optional language classes. Also, as one of Europe s most international cities, Munich is a study location combining global business hustle with a truly intercultural atmosphere. Take the Plunge International or Practical Immersion Internationality and practical relevance are two of the core values of the MBA International Management. This is why you may use Term 3 to choose an Individual Immersion corresponding to your personal needs: You can extend your international experience by studying abroad at one of MBS over 45 partner universities worldwide. Alternatively, you may either complete an internship or an International Consulting Project. In addition, you will spend an International Week at Corvinus University of Budapest in Hungary. Get a Head Start The Pre-MBA International Management Do you want to obtain GMAT-equivalent knowledge in a classroom environment and get a smooth start into the MBA IM program? The Pre-MBA is an intensive and compact fiveweek summer program during which you will not only gain an enhanced jumpstart for the full-time MBA. It also creates a bridge between your current work position and the challenge of studying again. You will work on and develop skills in managerial writing, analysis and business decisions, and will receive career coaching to prepare yourself for your post-mba career. For those who intend to start a career in Germany, an intensive German language course will bring their German up to level A1 which is the prerequisite for MBS German language semester courses. Be Outstanding The MBS Best Scholarship Munich Business School offers a limited number of partial scholarships to outstanding candidates applying for the MBA International Management (up to 25% off the first two semester tuition rates). Selection criteria for the MBS Best Scholarship for outstanding candidates include the following: outstanding educational achievements, professional background, high GMAT scores, international work experience, foreign language skills, social engagement, candidates performance throughout the selection process. Since the number of scholarships is limited, early application increases your chances.

Most of the relevant knowledge and experience I have was primarily gained from working. At MBS, I have the opportunity to learn from highly experienced, industryoriented professors which helped me a lot in gaining further knowledge and better preparation for the job market. Mor (Israel), MBA IM, class of 2015-2016 Not only is MBS one of Germany s most international schools, but their small class sizes create a more personal atmosphere, and studying with individuals from all over the world exposes you to a variety of different perspectives that challenge your current thinking. Emily (USA), MBA IM, class of 2014-2015 I would definitely recommend the full-time MBA to friends and colleagues who want to study. In fact, I already did. The program is a great way to start your career because you develop important technical and personal skills in a culturally diverse environment. Kulbir (India), MBA IM, class of 2013-2014 The MBA International Management builds an excellent business basis from the perspective of the needs of an international manager. It is perfectly tailored to our students interests and future business focus. Prof. Dr. Stefan Baldi Dean of Munich Business School
