Tod A. Anton Scholarship Schedule and Contacts This scholarship is a collaborative effort by Lincoln Unified School District PTSA s to honor our outstanding seniors. As Dr. Anton himself demonstrated throughout his tenue as LUSD superintendent, LHS principal and in his retirement as LHS cross country coach, the scholarship committee is looking for students who exhibit strength in character, involvement in community and pride in their education. Applications Due To the LHS Education Planning Center or the Village Oaks Main Office Applications should include: 1. Tod A. Anton Scholarship Application Student Background Sheet (from the LHS Education Planning Center, Room #1418) High school transcript from all four years (This does not need to be sealed. Can be printed from Aeries.) 4. On a separate page write why you deserve the Tod Anton Scholarship (Minimum 500 words) 5. One personal letter of recommendation of your commitment to any of the following: Academic, athletic, civic, religious, work experience and/or community service. 6. One personal letter of recommendation of your demonstration of personal character and/or leadership with faculty, students, family and/or others in the community. 1 st Notification Sometime between All applicants will be notified of their rejection or notified they are a finalist and granted an interview via email (as stated on the Application) Interviews Finalists will participate in interviews to determine the winning candidates. A time will be given in your email in the 1 st notification. Principal Asplund will arrange for these finalists to be excused from class. 2 nd Notification All finalists will be notified of rejection or that they are a winning candidate. Tod A.
