Home Access Center Welcome to Home Access Center (HAC), a student and parent portal. HAC is integrated with Lakota s Student Information System and the teachers grade books. The data provided are the same the teachers, administrators and office staff use daily and reflect current school year information. The HAC website is provided for the use of active Lakota students and parents to assist in the communication of important educational information. Not all grade levels are configured to see the same information. Kindergarten students will have much less information than high school students. Use this document to familiarize yourself with the HAC pages and features. Home: Week View Shows each day of the week and what schedule students are on each day. Click on the Day Code letter link to view the schedule for that day. Shows the name of each class on the student schedule as well as the course code, what period the class meets and the teacher name. Click on the Class link to view more information. The View buttons allow you to go back and forth between a view of Today s Schedule and the Full Schedule (All classes in the Current School Year Schedule) Shows class assignment and score for each course. Scores are shown as Points Earned/Possible Points. Click on the Assignment name link for more information. Lakota Technology Department 3

Home: Calendar The Filter box allows you to see only what you want to see on the Calendar View. Click beside an item to uncheck anything you don t wish to see on the calendar. Click on the Funnel icon to hide or re-open the Filter options box. Use the < and > arrows to view previous or upcoming months. View the Calendar by Day, Week or Month Hover over or click on Assignment link for details Lakota Technology Department 4

Attendance: Month View The Attendance screen shows what dates a student was absent. Hover over the highlighted area to see details on an absence. The color legend below the calendar will provide you with a color coded key for each absence type. Lakota Technology Department 5

Classes: Classwork On the Classwork page you have the option of viewing classwork for the most recent report card or you may select an earlier report card from the current school year. You may view all classes at once or select one class. You may also choose to sort by Class Name or Due Date. Click the Refresh View button to update the view options. Click the Full View button to see Student Points, Maximum Points, Percentage, Weight and Points by Category (Assignments, Homework, Projects, etc). Click the Quick View button to return to default view. Collapse All shows one line per course, Expand All returns to default. Lakota Technology Department 6

The student Marking Period Average is shown in the upper right corner of each class on the Classwork page. For High School students this average does not include the quarterly exam grade. Each class section shows the Date Due, Date Assigned, Assignment, Category, Score and Total Points for each assignment. Hover over or click on the assignment name for more information. Click on the comment link next to a score to open comments on a specific score. Lakota Technology Department 7

Classes: Schedule The Schedule page shows the student schedule and class information for the current school year. Click on the comment link next to a class to see student comments for the class. Click on the class name link for details on that specific class. Click on the Teacher name link to send an email directly to that teacher. Lakota Technology Department 8

Grades: IPR The IPR Tab Shows Interim Progress Report Scores/Grades for each marking period. The drop down allows you to select which period you want to view. Click on the Teacher name link to send an email directly to that teacher. Lakota Technology Department 9

Grades: Report Card The Report Card Tab Shows Quarterly Scores and the Final Grade for each class. The drop down allows you to select which Report Card period to view. Click on the Print button to print a hard copy PDF of the official report card. This document includes Attendance, Grade Scale, Cumulative Credit and Cumulative GPA. The final report card will also include the Next Year Grade Level. Click on the Score link for details on the assignments that make up the total score. The Categories box shows student s points vs. the maximum points and percentages for assignments to date. Lakota Technology Department 10

The Total Earned Credit section at the bottom of the Report Card page shows how many credits the student has earned to date. The Honor Roll Message box is populated if the student has made the Honor Roll. Lakota Technology Department 11

Grades: Transcript The Transcript page shows a transcript for each year the student was in High School. Each section shows a final grade and the total credit earned in each class. The bottom of each section shows the final GPA and total credit earned for that school year. The bottom of the Transcript page shows the students total Weighted GPA for all high school years attended, the Rank in their class and the Unweighted GPA to date. Lakota Technology Department 12

Grades: Test Scores The Test Scores page displays selected test scores, such as the Ohio Graduation Test and Ohio Achievement Assessment. Lakota Technology Department 13

Student Support: Success Plan Success Plans monitor goals and interventions for students on Gifted, 504, and ESL plans. Lakota Technology Department 14

Registration: Demographic Some of the student demographic and contact information is displayed on the Registration page. The Homeroom Teacher and Counselor names are hyperlinks to their emails. The parent may click the Edit buttons to enter/update the Emergency and Contact Information. The parent can only update his or her own contact information and the child s. For address changes, please go to the Enrollment Center. Lakota Technology Department 15

My Account Parents may change their passwords and update their security questions by clicking on their name in the upper right corner and clicking My Account. Passwords should be at least 8 characters and contain at least 3 different types of characters (upper-, lower-case, numbers, special characters). The Challenge Questions must be in place to request a password reset via email. The parent s email must already be in the system too. Students change passwords within the OneLogin portal. Click the figure in the top right corner and Profile or click the Forgot Username link to change passwords. Lakota Technology Department 16
