College/Major College of Business All Business Majors Math Requirement This major requires that you complete MATH 1190 (or MATH 1710) with a minimum grade of a C and any required pre-requisites. In order to be enrolled in MATH 1190 (or MATH 1710) you must satisfy pre-requisites by: (1) Taking the approved prerequisite course(s) and earning grade(s) that are a minimum a C, or (2) Making an acceptable score on UNT s MATH placement exam to place directly into MATH 1190 (MATH 1710). Recreation, Event and Sport Management College of Engineering All Engineering Majors All Recreation and Leisure Studies majors must complete any MATH course from the approved university core list. All engineering majors are required to take MATH 1710 with a grade of C or better at the minimum. In order to enroll in MATH 1710, you must satisfy pre-requisites by (1) completing MATH 1650 with a C grade or better, or (2) completing MATH 1610 with a C grade or better, or (3) earning an acceptable score on a MATH placement exam to place directly into MATH 1710. College of Merchandising, Hospitality & Tourism Hospitality Management If you are Hospitality Management major you must complete any MATH course from the approved university core list. MATH 1580 is recommended. Merchandising, Home Furnishings Merchandising If you are a Merchandising, or Home Furnishings Merchandising major you are required to take MATH 1680. Digital Retailing If you are a Digital Retailing major you are required to take MATH 1680 or DSCI 2710. Retailing If you are a Retailing major you are required to take MATH 1680 or DSCI 2710.
