CHICAGO THE CITY IIT IS PROUD TO CALL HOME. IIT s home is Chicago and the university is proud of its South Side legacy that dates back nearly 125 years. Chicago takes it sports, culture, shopping, and food seriously. So take in a Bears football game, check out the Modern Wing at the Art Institute, walk along the lakefront, and have dinner at a Top Chef restaurant. IIT and the city of Chicago are a great combination. HOUSING Students who live on IIT s Main Campus make the most of their IIT experience. On-campus housing options include everything from theme communities to modern buildings with Chicago skyline views. Housing is guaranteed to IIT students, and many IIT undergraduates live on Main Campus in our traditional residence halls, apartment-style buildings, and seven fraternity and three sorority houses. ATHLETICS IIT is home to 10 varsity teams: men s baseball, women s volleyball, and men s and women s soccer, swimming and diving, track and field, and cross-country, as well as numerous intramural sports teams. STUDENT LIFE Make no mistake. IIT students work hard at their studies, but they also find time during their busy weeks for fun and involvement. Many are active in more than 100 clubs and campus organizations, some host parties at one of IIT s fraternities and sororities, and others compete each year in the IIT Pumpkin Launch. After all, this is IIT, the university where having fun is serious business and getting involved is a given. AFTER IIT Many graduates start their careers at some of the largest and most successful companies in the world, including the 200- plus companies that attended the IIT Career Fair. Some students decide to be their own bosses, founding entrepreneurial startups, often stemming from course and IPRO projects. Others continue their education in graduate school at IIT or one of the other top universities in the country and around the world.

FINANCIAL AID The majority of our students (99%) receive some type of financial aid. All IIT undergraduates are eligible for need- and merit-based scholarships and other financial aid. IIT awarded more than $60 million in grant and scholarship funds in 2011 2012. To find out more about financial aid at IIT, visit iit.edu/financial_aid or call 312.567.7219. MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIPS University scholarships are awarded to students annually. IIT also offers up to full tuition for four years of study (five for architecture majors) through our Camras Scholars Program.
