Creating: Quizzes The ASKnLearn LMS allows you to create quizzes easily. Quizzes are typically used for student knowledge assessment. Click on the Create Tab at the top of the page. Then click on Quiz. Fill in the relevant details in the figure below. Select your subject and quiz title, then click Next. In the circled areas, you can either add questions or edit various sections of the quiz. Most e-learning or online-based quizzes will only have 1 section. We will click on Add Question to add new questions. 14

Under Add Question, we have a variety of questions to add. Almost all of these questions, with the exception of Essay questions are auto marked by the system. Our system also has a large pool of questions that can be imported in the question bank. These are the various types of questions you can input: Multiple Choice True and False Multiple Response Essays Fill in the Blanks/Cloze Passage Numeric where the answer is a number Question Bank Excel Import You can use this option if u wish to import the quiz in excel format. 15

This is an example of the setting up of a Multiple Choice Question. The question, when set up will be recorded in your own Personal Item bank. Set the details in the question and click Submit, at the bottom of the page. 16

The questions will be added to the existing quiz. To add further questions, you can click on Add Question again. This time, we will be adding a Fill in the Blank question. The fill-in-the-blank questions are good for items such as cloze passages. You simply type in the paragraph you need, highlight the words you wish to convert into blanks and click on Convert to Blank. When satisfied, click Next. 17

The next view will bring you to the answer page. You will need to set the marking scheme (default is 10 marks) and click Submit. When done, and all questions have been submitted, you can click Next to bring you to the Quiz Setup. On Quiz Setup, you can customize your quiz further, for example, setting the time limit on the quiz, number of tries per student, and whether to randomize the questions (to prevent cheating in a computer lab context). 18
