From The East Brothers as you all are aware that it is dues time once again. If you could get your dues checks to the secretary it would be appreciated. On a better note there was quite a turnout for Brother Mark Hanson s apron rededication. I would like to thank all the brothers for their help and assistance. A special thanks to Damien King, Mike and Lisa, Brother Alex Velez, and Brother Tom Horn for all their efforts. Last Thursday s event shows all of us what Masonry is all about. It was truly amazing how every brother present pitched in to make it a success. I was proud to be a small part of it and once again I commend all of you. Thanks for all that you do in and out of lodge. This past Saturday Bros. Damien King, Roger Reynolds, Tom Horn, and R:.W:.s Bill Plank and Bruce Klein held another child ID program that was a tremendous success. The I.D. was held as part of the Fall Foliage Festival held in downtown Highland Falls and the Lodge was able to perform I.D.s for 70 children during this 7-hour event. Once again my hat is off to all these Brothers for their dedicated service to the community and the Craft. Last, and certainly not least, Bro. Mike Peters deserves special mention for showing his usual generosity and donating sandwiches, chips, water, and soft drinks to the Brothers volunteering at the event. He also brought candy for the kids participating in the Child I.D. Like so much of what he gives, Bro. Mike did this without being asked and without looking to be compensated. He is a fine example of the Charity our ritual espouses. He and his wife Lisa are true treasures in West Point Lodge. Thank you. Sec. s Desk My Brothers, As the Masonic year 2012 comes to a close, I am sorry to say that we have quite a few Brothers that still have not paid dues as of yet. As of this notice there are forty three (43) Brothers not paying dues. Thirty one (31) are on active duty and of those, twenty one (21) are 2-years in arrears and will be getting notices for NPD. In addition, there are five (5) more that are two years in arrears. Formal dues notices will go out this month. At the same time the names will be read in lodge for the NPD s. Please make every effort possible to update your dues status. The new dues structure is as follows Lodge Brothers $102.00 Active duty $77.00 and life members $37.00. Special recognition goes out to Brother Harold Johnson for fifty one (51) years and Robert Johnston for sixty one (61) years of Masonic membership quite an accomplishment. May you both enjoy another fifty (50) years of membership. We are also encouraging all Lodge members and friends of West Point No. 877 to Friend us and join our Facebook group as this is even more dynamic than the monthly Trestleboards and the best way to stay abreast of Lodge events. Our Lodge can be found at www.facebook.com/groups/westpoint877. We hope to see you there as well.
