STUDYING AT RISEBA Academic Considerations Many of courses consist of a full-time semester of study. Exchange students make up their own curriculum by selecting courses up to 30 ECTS. Students can take courses from different years within autumn or spring semesters, but of course there can be also some overlaps. Please note: it is not possible to combine courses from different programmes. Examinations All courses include written and/or oral examinations. During one course you will have at least two exams and final exam at the end of the course. There are 10 marks (from 1-10, you can pass course if you do not have lower than 4) awarded in the Latvian universities. If a student fails an examination, there is the possibility of taking a re-sit examination later in the semester. The examination re-sitting is free of charge for exchange students.
