Skills Development Scotland Career Ready previously Career Academy A charity set up and governed by senior business leaders The aim is to raise students aspirations and bridge the gap between education and work by giving them access to real experience (skills for learning, life & work) It is a two year programme during S5 & S6 for middleachieving students aged 16-18 which offers a business mentor for two years and 4 weeks paid work experience in the summer between S5 and S6
