Course: Performing Arts Level: 2/3 About the Course: Performing Arts at the Enterprise Studio Sixth Form is empowering and challenging. It develops essential life skills from building confidence, self-discipline and teamwork to those of reflection and evaluation. A qualification in this field is valued in both academic and employment circles. Performing Arts also reflects a student s ability to communicate and work with others creatively. Students will also be able to work with independence and responsibility. The wide-ranging skills acquired transfer naturally into further study and the course prepares students to take up their place in the world of work. Performance skills and stagecraft are developed through real performances, ensuring that students prepare thoroughly and receive live, unbiased feedback. Another key aspect is working with industry professionals and beginning to build your performance networks and contacts. State of the art facilities support our students in preparing for work in a range of settings within the field.

Course: Construction Level: 2/3 About the Course: The construction course at Fulham Enterprise Studio is our most popular course to date and students following this have been extremely successful in achieving excellent outcomes and opportunities within the profession, both locally and further afield. Students taking this course are ideally set to enter all aspects of the construction industry. Those wishing to take up a trade such as plumbing or electrics will have gained hands on experience along with the theoretical knowledge required to take up roles such as Project Manager or Architectural Technician. Links with local and national construction companies mean that many of our students have excellent prospects of gaining a place on an apprenticeship scheme. Combining the Construction and Business course would suit students hoping to run their own business. The Level 3 qualification is a university entry level course should students wish to pursue that option.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for students joining the Enterprise Studio in 2017 as we will be working in partnership with Chelsea Football Club to deliver a sports studies course, taught by industry professionals with a vast amount of experience. Course: Sports Studies Level: 2 About the Course: Learners will gain an in-depth understanding of the structure of the sport and leisure industry and gain the skills and knowledge for employment in sports development or coaching. The programme will be delivered in conjunction with our local partners William Morris Sixth Form and the modules will be taught by qualified professionals from Chelsea Football Club. As part of the course, students will also have access to opportunities in coaching and sports leader qualifications and it is anticipated that there will be a wide range of work experience placements to support development. Through our partnership with Chelsea Football Club and William Morris Sixth Form, we anticipate being able to offer a Level 3 course for learners to progress onto after completing the level 2 course.

Course: Business Level: 2/3 About the Course: Students studying a business course will be able to develop a solid foundation for further education or employment in a wide range of sectors. Business students at Fulham Enterprise Studio have a wide range of opportunities to work with key employers in the local area, thanks to our growing network of business partners. A qualification in business opens up a whole range of opportunities for students as the skills and knowledge gained through study can be applied to countless different employment situations.

Course: Health and Social Care Level: 2/3 About the Course: Health and Social Care is a wide ranging sector and the course at Fulham Enterprise Studio is an exciting and varied one, delivered through challenging subject matter and practical work experience. Students are encouraged to explore the whole range of possibilities within the sector and to develop the skills and knowledge required to go on to further / higher education and employment in this field. Students taking this course will have a genuine interest in health, education or social care work.

Additional Vocational Qualifications / GCSEs Flexibility is key to the Enterprise Studio model and students can follow different pathways to get the qualifications that they need to progress. Students choose a Subsidiary Diploma to combine with the specialist courses on offer to provide a range of progression options. Programmes of study are tailored to meet the needs and aspirations of the student. Achieving good GCSE grades in English and Maths is crucial for all young people so any student joining us without a minimum C grade in one or both subjects will be required to continue to study these subjects during their first year. Unlike some other post-16 providers, the Enterprise Studio prioritises these subjects within a student s programme and all lessons are taught in small groups by specialist teachers.

Preparation for Employment and University All Sixth Form students at the Enterprise Studio have a work preparation course, as part of their full time programme. Students can then organise their own placements, begin their own small businesses in-house or work with their Personal Coach to secure a placement with one of our empoyer partners. Students have opportunities to work with, and get feedback from, employer partners who regularly assist with interviews for our work placements. Students are prepared for a wide range of progression routes including apprenticeships, university and employment through a variety of workshops, seminars and activities. Students planning to go to university have dedicated support with the UCAS process and a programme of activities and experiences designed to enhance their personal statement. Our partners

Creating your Route to Success At Fulham Enterprise Studio, we understand that young people need qualifications, experience and the right skills and qualities to be successful in their chosen jobs and careers. Our Personal Coaching team guide and challenge our Sixth Form students to achieve their full potential in all aspects of their studio experience. Each student has regular 1:1 coaching sessions to develop a progression plan and to review progress. The Personal Coach is also the key link with a student s employer to ensure that he/she is on track in each area of their programme. Students are guided through the UCAS and apprenticeships processes and provided with a wide range of experiences to support them in preparing for progression.

I have had so much support from my Personal Coach and I am really looking forward to university. I have really enjoyed my time at the Enterprise Studio. All the staff push you to achieve more and more. My work experience placements have given me so much confidence. I came to this country the day before I had an interview at the Enterprise Studio and I was really scared but being in such a small and friendly place was just what I needed. My Personal Coach has helped me so much and I have done voluntary work for the whole two years. It has been a great experience and I think I am ready for university. I came to the Enterprise Studio from a large secondary school and it was the best thing I could have done. The staff here make you want to achieve the very best and push you to believe in yourself. St George s is one of the Enterprise Studio s key employer partners and the mix of qualifications and practical skills have helped me to secure this great opportunity.
