CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION CTE PROGRAM COMPLETER REQUIREMENT LIST FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLS Revised OCTOBER 2017

FEWD This booklet contains the latest Career and Technology Education (CTE) Program Completer List approved by Frederick County Public Schools Career and Technology Education Curricular Office and the Maryland State Department of Education. Each program lists the courses that students must complete in order to meet the CTE career completer high school graduation requirement. The number of credits and the courses within a program are required by the Maryland State Department of Education. Students who complete their chosen program should be prepared for employment in that area or a related field, post-secondary education, or both. CIP (Classification of Instructional Programs) numbers shown beside the program name are assigned at the national level for program uniformity at federal, state and local levels. Courses in Cooperative Work Study, Mentor/Intern, and Student Service Learning have an A or B as part of the title. Students should enroll in course A in the fall and course B in the spring semester. When students take Cooperative Work Study, Mentor/Intern, and/or Student Service Learning as a Related Technical Elective, the training should be related to their chosen CTE program. School counselors, teachers, and other school staff will find this publication useful as they discuss program options and requirements with students and their parents. Questions and/or suggestions regarding these lists should be referred to Dr. Kristine Pearl, Supervisor of Career and Technology Education. Photocopying and Finishing Services provided by FCPS Career and Technology Center Transition Skills Program Students
