Every once in awhile, it s good to take a stroll down memory lane. Let s take a stroll down memory lane. #2 CAN T GET A WORD IN EDGEWISE You can t say anything because someone else is talking so much. Sally got so excited when she was talking that nobody else could get a word in edgewise. So many people were talking at one time that I couldn t get a word in edgewise. He was talking so much, so I couldn t get a word in edgewise. #3 LOSE MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT I m sorry, I lost my train of thought. What were we talking about again? To forget what one was talking or thinking about When she walked in, he lost his train of thought. The question made the speaker lose his train of thought. I hope you enjoyed this lesson.
