Meet Our Curriculum Specialists JP Neang is an artist, creative director and Kids Country resident artist. She was a Featured Innovator of the Month at the Children s Creativity Museum and a 2015 Maker Team Member powered by Google. She has taught creative education (21st century thinking, creative engineering, and the arts) for several years, working to inspire the world with her current project called Imaginary Atlas, an initiative to bring back the act of creating just for the sake of creating to children on a global platform. Jamie Roman has been involved in the arts her entire life, finding her love dance at the age of three and beginning teaching when she was 14. Jamie directs the musical theatre program for Kids Country. Jamie received professional training in theatre from the American Conservatory Theater while attending week long intensive programs in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Jamie is passionate about the arts being accessible to school age kids. Danielle John is a local artist and parent whose three children have passed through Rancho Romero classrooms. She worked as the school art teacher for a number of years and created Pots and Paints in response to many parents wanting to add more artistic creativity to their children s lives. Danielle was born and educated in England, studied in Spain and France, and moved to America in 2005.

Curriculum Specialists (cont d) Black Dragon Chess JB McCann is an Expert rated player in the United States Chess Federation, and has been coaching and teaching chess for over 15 years. Since 2007, his after-school enrichment program, Black Dragon Chess, has taught thousands of students at schools throughout the San Ramon Valley. knodemy Based in Silicon Valley, knodemy was founded by parents who believe that education should know no boundaries.. At the core of this value lies our passion and dedication to make technology (STEAM) education accessible to students earlier in their academic career by partnering with schools, educational institutions, and organizations. Our approach is that students should be taught hands-on programming and STEAM skills through Project Based Learning (PBL) methodology. One on One Welcome to One on One Sports! We are focused on helping every type of athlete reach their full potential. We believe that character, confidence, discipline, and dedication are the key ingredients to attaining your athletic goals. We strive to turn our athlete s weaknesses into their strengths while constantly pushing them outside of their comfort level.

Play-Well TEKnologies At Play-Well TEKnologies we strive to build problem-solving skills and provide an opportunity for creative expression. We foster a greater appreciation of how things work and encourage the qualities of inquisitiveness, self-reliance and self confidence in children. We do this in the context of fun-filled engineering and architectural projects, activities that both the children and the instructors enjoy! Tiny Techs Club Tiny Techs Club encourages creativity in science and technology at the elementary school level using our Robotics curriculum. We use LEGO Robotics kits to teach children fundamentals in mechanics, building and programming, inspiring in children an awareness of science that exists all around them. Children learn to use simple programming to build concepts of logic, and lessons emphasize a structure that the students build and learn to program in order to understand the workings of simple everyday machines and entities. Village Center for the Arts Giving students a positive experience with music and the arts is our number one goal. We believe that the arts should be fun, presented in a supportive environment, and use materials that inspire practice & commitment. Village instructors put these principles into practice, and Village students develop a love and understanding for their craft that will last a lifetime.

Kids Country supports a child s natural curiosity and love of learning in a safe and inspired environment where they can discover their passions and achieve great things.
