Calvary Christian Academy International School Profile Our s offered are infant age through 12th grade, including the VPK free Pre-K program for 4 year olds. Our Enrollment is over 450 students campus-wide in our Pre-school, Elementary, Middle and High Schools. Our School motto is, Teaching More Than Academics. Our School colors are navy, white, and gold and our mascot is a lion. Our Accreditation for CCA is through FLOCS and SACS. Our Mission is to develop students to think, live, and lead as Christians based upon a Biblical worldview. Our Campus is a beautiful 28 acre campus located in sunny, Ormond Beach, Florida. We were founded in 1985 as a college preparatory, private Christian school. Our College classes offered on the CCA Campus are currently Psychology, Life Science, College Algebra, Graphic Design and Music Appreciation. We intend to offer additional courses in the near future. Our Church representation is over 20 local churches that are represented in the CCA student body. Our Average class size is 20-25 students, though it may vary occasionally. Our Athletic teams are: boys and girls basketball, baseball, volleyball, track, soccer, softball, and cheerleading *(based upon student interest). Our Extra-Curricular Activities are: drama, art, chorus, National Honor Society, student government, drum line, student yearbook, outreach opportunities, chapel services, career day, and worship team. Our Foreign Language class is Spanish, although we also offer an International Student language support class. Our Graduation requirements are 24 credits to be earned over the 9-12th secondary years. Students must accumulate four credits in math and English, three in history and science, two in Bible and a foreign language, and finally one in fine arts. Every student must take one semester each of life management and physical fitness. All other credits will be attained through electives. Our Grading scale: A (90-100) 4.0, B (80-89) 3.0, C (70-79) 2.0, D (60-69) 1.0, F (0-59) 0.0 Our Testing: We offer Stanford Achievement tests for grades K-11th grade. We offer the Explore test to all 8th grade students, and the PLAN test for all 10th grades. The PSAT is given to all 11th grades. The ACT and SAT are recommended for 10-12th grades, but these are offered off campus for an additional charge. We offer helpful planning for those exams and information on how to get registered off site for the exams.
