Related Experience Self-Employed as a professional cabinetmaker and finish carpenter specializing in residential and commercial projects. Art related projects include work done for exhibitions at the University of Iowa Museum of Art and the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art. Translated various art texts from English to Turkish, working with the Uludag University Painting and Printmaking faculty members to restructure the existing academic programs and curricula, 1998-1999. Traveled extensively throughout Turkey visiting archeological, historical and artistic sites. Independently studied the Turkish language, history, and culture, 1996-2008. Traveled throughout Europe, parts of Africa and Asia. Visited eleven countries in total while compiling portfolio of drawings and prints, August to December 1995.
