Instructions for incoming exchange students Online-registration for courses and written seminar papers at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (KSF)! Important: If you wish to participate in courses at the KSF you must register for each course online via UniPortal (http://portal.unilu.ch) using the path For students/ Records (please follow instructions as indicated below) or the course catalogue (https://vv.unilu.ch) (for details please see p. 9). The form for written seminar papers can only be generated via UniPortal (see p.8). Registration via UniPortal Click on For students. The login for enroled students will open. Login via SWITCHaai. Select Universität Luzern and click Auswählen : The registration is made with your StudNET-Login information, which you should have received by now from the IT department: Example: Seite 2 10
In this menu you can register for courses by clicking on Records view all registrations you made by clicking on Courses or undo registrations (works only within deadline) Seite 3 10
Registration 1. Click on module you wish to register, for example Master seminar in History. A dialogue window will open. 1. Seite 4 10
2. The window shows selected courses you may choose in different modules. 2. Please choose now 3. the course you wish to participate by clicking on Auswählen and 4. if needed the type of assessment ( Abschlussform, for KSF courses usually only one selectable) 5. click on Register. 4. 5. 3. After clicking on Register you are automatically forwarded from the menu Records to the menu Courses. Please read the details of this course and then click on Sign up to verify your registration. Registration is now completed. To view all your registrations click on the right navigation on Courses.! Important: if you must change your courses after the deadline please contact your academic mobility advisor. Seite 6 10
Cancellation If you wish to cancel from a course within the deadline please click on 1. Courses i.e. the respective course. 2. Click on Cancel 3. Cancellation is now completed.! Important: if you must change your courses after the deadline please contact your academic mobility advisor. Seite 7 10
Written seminar papers If you are required to hand in a written seminar paper please click on Records, i.e. the respective module, for example Main seminar paper module Communication Media. Fill in the form for written seminar paper and hand it in together with your paper to the lecturer.! Important: Please make sure that the popup-blocker of your browser is deactivated! Otherwise the form cannot be printed. Seite 8 10
Registration via course catalogue a) Go to https://vv.unilu.ch and log in. b) Use the different search options or lists of courses of your degree to find the course of your choice. c) After every course description you will find a button Registration, click the button to register for this course If no line Registration is given at the end of the course description you are possibly not logged in. d) After clicking on Registration, a dialogue will open in which registration is specified. Please select in which context (i.e. module) you wish to choose the course. e)! Important: Please make sure that in each dropdown-list shown one choice is made. f) Finalise course registration by clicking on the button Registration. Questions or difficulties?
