All the Courses of the University are recognized by the Respective Statutory bodies of the Govt. of India - MCI, DCI, INC & Govt. of Rajasthan] NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSION ON NRI SEATS (FOREIGN NATIONALS / PIO / CHILDREN or WARD OF NRI) IN MBBS AND BDS COURSES ACADEMIC SESSION 2016-17 Vide our earlier Notification dated January 19, 2016 published in leading Newspapers and also uploaded on the University website www.mgumst.org applications were invited from the eligible candidates for admission on Twenty three (23) NRI MBBS and Nine (9) NRI BDS seats in MBBS/BDS courses being conducted respectively at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital and Mahatma Gandhi Dental College & Hospital units of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences & Technology, Jaipur. It was also mentioned in the Notification that the candidates appearing at 10+2 (qualifying examination) in 2016 may also apply. Last date of receiving the application form was February 15, 2016. In continuation of the aforesaid Notification dated January 19, 2016, it is informed to all the candidates who have applied for admission to MBBS & BDS courses on NRI seats in Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Hospital and Mahatma Gandhi Dental College & Hospital that in view of directives of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central Government on May 24, 2016 on conduct of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), policy of the Government regarding admissions of Foreign Nationals/PIO/Children or ward of NRI on NRI seats is still not clear. It is likely that the Hon'ble Court(s) or the Government may direct for admissions on NRI seats through NEET - 2016. It is therefore advised to all these candidates that they should qualify the NEET. If these candidates have not appeared in NEET Phase-I on May 01, 2016, they should appear in NEET-II (UG) scheduled to be held on July 24, 2016. Last date for applying online to appear at NEET-II (UG) is June 21, 2016. In case (I) these candidates could not register in AIPMT-I 2016/NEET-I or (ii) these candidates were registered in AIPMT-2016/NEET-I but could not appear in NEET-I on May 01, 2016 or (iii) these candidates were registered in AIPMT-2016 /NEET-I and had appeared but have apprehension that they had not prepared well, subject to submission of an undertaking to give up their candidature for NEET-I, they may appear in NEET-II (UG) as per the Admission Notice announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi for NEET-II (UG) scheduled to be held on July 24, 2016.

CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-II (UG) ADMISSION NOTICE As per the directives of Hon ble Supreme Court of India and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central Government on 24.5.2016 on conduct of NEET, online applications are invited for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-II (UG), 2016 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-II (UG), 2016 is applicable for admissions to the following:- i. All India Quota Seats. ii. State Government Quota Seats where the State Government concerned so opts. iii. Private/Management/NRI Quota Seats in all Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University. PATTERN OF TEST The NEET-II shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The duration of paper would be 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (i) Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for appearing in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-II (UG), 2016. (ii) The candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31 st December, 2016 of the year of his/her admission to the 1 st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course. (iii) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats in Medical/Dental Colleges run by the Union of India, State Government, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the State of Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana is 25 years as on 31 st December, of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedules Tribes/Other Backward Classes. (iv) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission in MBBS/BDS seats under the control of States/Universities/Institutions shall be as per the rules of the State/University/Institution concerned. (v) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General candidates. Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are appearing in Class XII examination in 2016 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later. (vi) Candidates from the States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J &K are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats as these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. However, they are eligible to appear in NEET-II for admission in Private Medical/Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University and AFMC, Pune.
