EHR Incentive Program - NEWS Certified Electronic Health Record Technology (CEHRT) Flexibility Rule 2014 Released for comment in July, published early September, effective October 1 Available for provider attestation 2 nd week of October Allows providers the option to flex back utilizing 2011 edition CEHRT or 2011/2014 edition CEHRT Utilizing the CEHRT Flex Rule gives providers the option to attest to Program year 2013 requirements 2014 edition CEHRT must be not fully implemented Pushes back Stage 3 to 2017 6

EHR Incentive Program - NEWS Kentucky Flexibility: Attestation deadlines extended: Hospitals: January 30, 2015 Providers: April 30, 2015 Policy on electronic submission of Clinical Quality Measures relaxed to accommodate providers with EHR vendors who can NOT submit an electronic file Manual entry of CQMs will be allowed for these providers Electronic submission will be encouraged whenever possible 7
