Credit system used: ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) ECTS credits are European credits which are used to measure university studies in quantitative terms. Each ECTS credit represents a student workload of between 25 and 30 hours. In addition to attendance at theoretical and practical classes, the credits cover seminars, tutorials, exams and all time spent studying and working towards the successful completion of the course. Article 5 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, establishing the organisation of official university studies, states: The academic workload corresponding to achievement of the outcomes defined in programmes of study leading to the award of official university degree titles is to be measured in European credits (ECTS) as defined in Royal Decree 1125/2003, of 5 September, establishing the European credit and grading systems in official university degree titles with nationwide validity.
