If we can t reach 50, we won t have the party. John Brownrigg and Jean Hamlin Gave presentation on What is Kiwanis to over 150 teachers at APHS, Algonquin Middle School and Elementary Schools. Stuart Nippes announced that the Citrus has been ordered. The delivery date has not been determined yet but will be announced as soon as it known. There are no extra cases of fruit. PDLG Jean Andrick will match the profits of our Pasta Dinner this Saturday, her 39 th birthday, she challenges the club to find a good use for her generosity.

PROGRAM: Jennifer and Justin Glasser Community Services Committee Update INDUCTION OF NEW MEMBER: Jean Hanlon was inducted as the newest member of the Sand Lake Kiwanis Club by Bob Pasquarelli. Elon Musk Highlights of the Board Meeting Board Members present: President Brownrigg, President Elect Glasser, Vice President Malecki, Treasurer Pasquarelli, Secretary Booker, Directors: Colabelli, Daniels, Glasser, Grillo, Lewandusky, Wagner & Whipple Board Members absent: Immediate Past President Hamlin and Directors Behson and Loveridge. Others present: PSDLG Lane, PP Tysiak, Murdick, Ward and Weiss Committee Reports: Community Services (Glasser/Glasser) Doors of Hope (Ginther) Ten members volunteered a total of 14 hours at one or both of the food deliveries to the local food pantry. 6188 pounds of food were unloaded and stored. Senior Services (Trupia) Four card tables were donated to the Sand Lake Seniors as replacement for the 25-year-old broken tables. One member volunteered 3 hours and the tables cost $111.74. Interclub (Pasquarelli) Four members attended the November 9 th Van Rensselaer Division Council Meeting hosted by the Troy Club. Each participated in the service project by donating granola bars. Sponsored Youth (Lane/Mulligan/Malecki/Nippes/Hamlin) Four of the five sponsored SLPs ordered 145 cartons of citrus for a donation due them of $1185.75. Key Club (Mulligan): The Kiwanis Advisor attended two Key Club meetings in November, the 15 th and the 29 th. These meeting take about one hour. Algonquin Middle School Builders Club (Lane): The Kiwanis Advisor attended 3 meetings about 5 hours. there are no additional meetings as a GAA activity is scheduled at school on 11/30. The builders club also turned in citrus orders.

Ways & Means (Glasser, Justin) Pasta Dinner (Loveridge): The club held a jointly sponsored Pasta Dinner Fund Raiser with the American Legion and the VFW on November 11 honoring the local veterans and active duty military personnel. 16 club members, two K Kids Club members, 6 Key Club members and one guest volunteered 110 hours. 29 veterans, one active duty, 6 families (27 individuals) and 50 other non-veterans were served. The veterans and active duty ate for free/the families for $25. A total of $650 was collected for the meals, a donation from an individual for $100 was also received. Reported expenses were $351.72 and a donation of $300.00 was approved to be made to the Town of Sand Lake Veterans Memorial Park Committee. Citrus Sales: 16 members, the SLPs and Mail Orders sold 360 cartons during the citrus sale Young Children Priority #1 (Loveridge) Distributing Bells of Life canisters to our local business partners. Youth Services (Lane): Youth services sure keep us busy this time of year. Since we gave the Thanksgiving food the chair has received the names of four new families. We had 66 families and 158 kids that we helped to feed. This happened with lots of help from 13 Kiwanians (55 hours). The chair thanks each and every one of them. It was so much fun that the chair hopes that they participate in the Christmas program. Actions approved: Donation to assist in establishing a permanent drug-take-back program in town. Donations to the Kiwanis International Children s Fund and NY District Foundation Outreach Campaign. Baby Shower Service Project for Division Council Meeting on January 22. Additional funds to purchase toys if needed for the Holiday Food and Gift Program.
