3. Assessment Procedures and Timeline The graduate Art Therapy Psychology Program will assess one student learning outcome annually, using at least one required or elective course. Each year the department will examine the syllabus for the course in which an outcome will be assessed; the primary responsibility for choosing and designing the assessment instruments will be the instructor of the class in consultation with the chair and the Division of Social Sciences Assessment Coordinator. The Department will hold a meeting in January or May (depending on the semester of the course involved) for the purpose of assessing student progress on learning outcomes. All full-time faculty members will be expected to participate, and part-time faculty will be invited to attend. A report will then be submitted by the instructor to the chair, who will forward it to the SS Assessment Coordinator.
