1 TECHNOLOGY SKILLS INTEGRATION HIGH SCHOOL ELA Our goal is for every student grades 3 through 11 to have regular, ongoing, and engaging experiences with the technology skills needed in order to be prepared for PARCC.
Supporting Effective Technology Integration Expectations Grade 9-11 ELA and Math teachers are ensuring that every student engages with a PARCC practice assessment by the end of December 2014 (Marshall Domains A.h and C.f ) Grade 9-11 teachers are using laptop/chromebook carts at least 2-4 times per month as part of engaging lessons in their content with attention to PARCC Technology skills from January through March 1, 2015 (Marshall Domains A.h and C.f ) Supports and Tools Laptop Video and checklist will be on the Talent webpage by November 17, 2014 Ongoing Individual and Small Group Support provided by Computer Teachers Model Lessons for technology skill integration will be posted on the Talent webpage by November 24, 2014 2
3 November 13, 2014 Curriculum Thursday Professional Development Teachers will be led through chromebook cart training using a video and checklist Teachers will access practice tests using district student devices in order to experience the technology from a student perspective and utilize skills needed to complete the assessment Teachers will complete an exit slip to indicate level of comfort with grade level appropriate technology skills Any area not checked on the checklist will result in individual support from Computer Teachers
4 November through March Evidence of Technology Integration November December Focus on use of PARCC practice tests in Grade 3-11 ELA & Math Administrators will use this time period as an opportunity to observe a lesson or collect evidence for Marshall feedback session (Marshall Domains A.h and C.f ) January March 1, 2015 Focus on use of laptop/chromebook carts 2-4 times per month for all content areas in Grades 3-11 Administrators will use this time period as an opportunity to observe a lesson or collect evidence for Marshall feedback session (Marshall Domains A.h and C.f )

Complete the Grade 10 ELA Practice Test Skip the following items for sake of time: SKIP 2, 3, 5, 6, 8-12, 14-16, 18-23 You do not need to complete full essays for essay questions but consider writing a few sentences to experience the technology
