Who is Eligible? Students under the following programmes may apply for the various global learning programmes offered by the University of Adelaide. ADELAIDE SUMMER / WINTER SCHOOL PROGRAMME ADELAIDE SEMESTER PROGRAMME STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME Master of Business Administration 4 4 4 Master of Applied Project Management 4 Master of Education 4 4 Master of Applied Finance 4 4 4 Master of International Business 4 4 Bachelor of Commerce 4 4 4 Bachelor of Computer Science 4 Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship 4 4 Note: Eligibility is based on approval of study plan and course schedule availability. Accommodation Short-term Stay (Less than 12 weeks) University-managed accommodation: The Village OR Serviced Apartments Hotels Long-term Stay (Contract periods of more than 6 months) University-managed accommodation: The Village Urbanest OR Serviced Apartments Private Rentals Student Hostels For more information on university-managed accommodations, please log on to: http://www.adelaide.edu.au/accommodation/uni/. Fully-serviced apartments are suitable for short-term stays. They usually provide all furniture, bedding, linen, cooking appliances and utensils and laundry facilities. Most apartments offer cheaper rates for longer duration, e.g. there will be one rate per night if you are staying for one week and another rate if you are staying for two weeks.
Student Exchange Programme WHAT The University of Adelaide has developed student exchange links with a number of overseas institutions in North and South America, Europe, UK and Asia. These programmes are suitable for students who wish to study overseas for one or two semesters, where credits will be earned towards their University of Adelaide degree. WHEN There are 2 commencement intakes every year, each lasting an approximate duration of 4 to 6 months: Semester 1 Commencement: Jan / Feb Application Deadline: Jun of preceding year Semester 2 Commencement: Aug / Sep Application Deadline: Oct of preceding year WHERE Host institution and the University of Adelaide must have a signed reciprocal agreement. For more information on the list of partner universities, please log on to Global Learning website at http://www.adelaide.edu.au/global-learning/. HOW Express your interest by emailing us at StudentLearning@NAA.edu.sg. All applications will be submitted to and processed by the Global Learning office at Adelaide. Once nominated, students will have to prepare for an official application to the host university and seek for course credits approval. Upon the confirmation of application, students will receive a Letter of Acceptance / Confirmation from the host university. Students may then proceed with the application for a Student Visa with the Letter of Acceptance issued by the host university. Students are encouraged to express their interest in advance for a timely administration of the application process. COURSE FEE Course fees are subsidised at the NAA rate, subjected to the prevailing GST. For course fees, please refer to your respective programme fees. Students will have to ensure that the course fees are paid prior to the trip. Besides the course fees, students will have to bear the cost of the travel visa, accommodation and air tickets. APPLICATION FEE An Exchange Application fee is applicable. Application fee terms and conditions can be found here at http://www.adelaide.edu.au/global-learning/experiences/exchange/. How To Apply For A Semester Exchange Programme Am I eligible for exchange? You will need to have completed 24 units (8 courses) to be fully assessed and you should have achieved a credit average of at least 65% in those courses. This means that most students will be ready to study overseas in their 4 th semester. I am eligible. How do I proceed? Research your potential host universities and available courses from our partners page on the Global Learning website at http://www.adelaide.edu.au/globallearning/. To be studying in a palace (one of the biggest and most beautiful Baroque palaces in the world), you can t match that anywhere. It is definitely a privilege to be a student here in Mannheim. Adelaide Summer & Winter School Programme WHAT Each year, the University of Adelaide offers a range of intensive courses that are taught during the term breaks as part of its Summer & Winter School Programme. Students are encouraged to enrol for the Summer & Winter School to accelerate their studies in an exceptional learning atmosphere surrounded by grand old buildings and historical environments. WHEN The Summer Programme normally takes place in January or February, while the Winter Programme is held in July each year. Course information will be available in December for Summer School and June for Winter School. Summer School was fun and exciting, especially if one goes with the ready mind to learn not only in the course but also the culture of Adelaide by visiting places of interest. The experiential learning in the class with an international profile of peers was particularly fulfilling with the diversity in views and ideas. Summer School is indeed an invaluable opportunity if you do not wish to live overseas for a long period of time. Adelaide Semester Programme WHAT Students studying in NAA may wish to head over to Adelaide for a semester or trimester. Students may enrol for 3 or 4 courses, with options to select cross-disciplinary courses. Students are required to apply for a Student Visa. The Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) does not guarantee a placement for the programme as it is subjected to the successful application of the Student Visa.
